The artice is divided into 3 sections:

(Part 1) Demystifying Religion in True sense

(Part 2) Refuting the false and wrong informations given by Agniveer about Islam in his article.

(Part 3) Response to points raised about Eastern religion and Miscellaneous Religions

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

PART 3:

Response to points raised about Eastern religion and Miscellaneous Religions.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Eastern Religions/ Hinduism

The third set of religions is the Eastern Religions. These are the oldest and foundation of almost all religious and philosophical thoughts including arabic cults. They include a variety of names like Hinduism, Sikhism, Jainism, Buddhism, Vedic Dharma, Sanatan Dharma etc. If Hindu be the term depicting region on eastern side of Indus river, then all these collectively come under the umbrella of Hinduism or Hindutva. There are a huge number of sub-sects and varieties in these broad terms mentioned above. For example, in Sikhs we have Namdharis, Nirankaris, Udasis etc. In Jainism we have Shwetambar, Digambars and various sub-sects. Same with other terms as well.

Despite this myriad diversity, which at times appear contradictory on surface, there are certain common binding traits in all these religions under the fold of Hinduism:

a. None of these religions were founded by visionaries as defined in previous section. The founders of these religions instead were supposed to be exalted souls who realized truth in their own way. Thus no follower is expected to blindly believe in anything but explore truth in their own honest ways.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

Islam was not founded by visionaries, but is the natural religion of all of Mankind chosen for us by Our Creator.

It’s a pity to see that Agniveer finally accepts that the founders of all Easterly Religions were supposed to be exalted souls who realized truth in their own way.

These religions were not a religion from God, but a distorted form of the religion of Islam by exalted souls who realized truth in their own way and this has been clearly explained above in the First section of this article.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Agniveer states:

b. All these religions believe in transmigration of soul and a continuity of life and death like day and night. Thus as per one’s deeds, soul goes through appropriate births in different species and situations.

c. All living beings are supposed to have same type of soul be it animal or human. All humans are supposed to have been in one of these species in past and also have probability to go into these species in future as well. That is why universal compassion for all living beings is a central theme of all these religions.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

How faulty this notion of the cycle of birth and rebirth is can be easily understood. Refer to answer to point (f) in the above section and also point (f) of this section along with

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Agniveer states:

d. A ten-fold tenets of Dharma/ religion is common among almost all sects. Interestingly, the sam shloka from Manusmriti (2.215) appears in almost all leading religions. These ten tenets include:

Patience, Forgiving, Self-control, Non-Stealing, Purity, Control of sense and action organs, Intellect, Knowledge, Truth, Freedom from anger. Further, all these religions put non-violence as supreme tenet of human beings.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

These points are very much present in the Natural religion of Submitting to God. And since these religions are bisected parts of the True Religion, these contain these few good points.

PATIENCE:

Imâm Ahmad said: “Allâh has mentioned patience in the Qur’ân in ninety places.” Here, we will list the different contexts in which patience appears.

Patience in enjoined upon believers: “And be patient for your patience is but by Allâh…” (an-Nahl 16:127).

“Now await in patience the command of your Lord…” (at-tûr 54:48).

The rewards of those who exercise patience will be doubled: “Twice will they be given their reward, for that they have persevered…” (al-Qasas 28:54).

“…Those who patiently persevere will truly receive a reward without measure!” (az-Zumar 39:10).

Patience is the way to earn the companionship of Allâh:

“…and be patient and persevering: for Allâh is with those who patiently persevere” (al-Anfâl 8:46).

Allâh has mentioned patience alongside the pillars of Islâm and îmân, as He has mentioned it

alongside sâlah: “Nay, seek (Allâh’s) help with patient perseverance and prayer…” (al-Baqarah 2:45);

alongside right actions: “Not so those who show patience and constancy, and do right actions; for them is forgiveness (of wrong actions) and a great reward” (Hûd 11:11);

alongside gratitude (shukr): “…Verily in this are Signs for everyone who patiently perseveres and is grateful” (ash-Shûra 42:32-33);

alongside truth: “…and (join together) in the mutual teaching of truth, and of patience and constancy” (al-‘Asr 103:1-3);

alongside compassion: “…those who believe and enjoin patience, (constancy, and self-restraint), and enjoin deeds of kindness and compassion…” (al-Balad 90:17);

alongside faith: “…so long as they persevered with patience and continued to have faith in Our Signs” (as-Sajdah 32:24);

alongside truth: “…for true men and women, for men and women who are patient and constant…” (al-Ahzâb 33:35).

Allâh has made patience the means for attaining His love, His companionship, His help and support, and His good rewards. This is sufficient honour and blessings.

FORGIVENESS:

If I just start putting verses Just from the Qur’an on Forgiveness, it will take pages and pages. Given below are just examples:

Correct and courteous words accompanied by forgiveness are better than sadaqa followed by insulting words. Allah is Rich Beyond Need, All-Forbearing. (Surat Al-Baqara, 263)

those who give in times of both ease and hardship, those who control their rage and pardon/forgives other people – Allah loves the good-doers – (Surat Al ‘Imran, 134)

For more kindly visit: http://tr1.harunyahya.com/Detail/T/EDCRFV/productId/17230

SELF CONTROL:

The best example of this is the 3rd pillar of Islam which is Fasting in the month of Ramadan.

See Qur’an Chapter 2 verse 183: O you who believe! Observing As-Saum (the fasting) is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may learn self – restraint.

NON-STEALING:

Qur’an 2:188 And eat up not one another’s property unjustly (in any illegal way e.g. stealing, robbing, deceiving, etc.), nor give bribery to the rulers (judges before presenting your cases) that you may knowingly eat up a part of the property of others sinfully.

Punishment for stealing:

Qur’an 5:38 – Cut off (from the wrist joint) the (right) hand of the thief, male or female, as a recompense for that which they committed, a punishment by way of example from Allah. And Allah is All Powerful, All Wise.

Qur’an 5:39 – But whosoever repents after his crime and does righteous good deeds (by obeying Allah), then verily, Allah will pardon him (accept his repentance). Verily, Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.

PURITY:

Islam enjoins that we offer our prayer in a state of Purity:

Qur’an 4:43 – O you who believe! Approach not AsSalat (the prayer) when you are in a drunken state until you know (the meaning) of what you utter, nor when you are in a state of Janaba, (i.e. in a state of sexual impurity and have not yet taken a bath) except when travelling on the road (without enough water, or just passing through a mosque), till you wash your whole body. And if you are ill, or on a journey, or one of you comes after answering the call of nature, or you have been in contact with women (by sexual relations) and you find no water, perform Tayammum with clean earth and rub therewith your faces and hands (Tayammum). Truly, Allah is Ever OftPardoning, OftForgiving.

We are told not to eat Maytatah (a dead animal) or blood poured forth (by slaughtering or the like), or the flesh of swine (pork, etc.) for that surely is impure…. (Qur’an 6:145)

Qur’an 9:108And Allah loves those who make themselves clean and pure (i.e. who clean their private parts with dust (i.e. to be considered as soap) and water from urine and stools, after answering the call of nature).

And much more. If I start quoting all references then it will unnecessarily extend the topic.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Agniveer states:

e. All these religions believe that cause of life and death is the ignorance in souls. This ignorance is to be removed through constant practice of self-control and performing virtues. Blind belief is supposed to be anti-thesis of this purpose of ignorance eradication. Hence no human is expected to believe blindly in anything. Thus the guidelines of these religions are recommendatory in nature and not supposed to be recipe to reach any permanent Heaven or avoid Hell.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

From the above analogy, the Hindus undergo cycle of birth and death is because their souls are ignorant. Because had their soul not been ignorant, then they would have been like Muslims.

If we look at it in a different angle, the Hindu souls are really ignorant about the truth of God, our only creator and the purpose of life in this world. They have hindered away from the Truth.

Leave this ignorance o people. Understand the Truth! Don’t believe blindly on any thing. Explore the Truth with an unbiased mind.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Agniveer states:

f. Human being is not expected to be able to understand complete truth in this life. Hence mutual discussions and debates are encouraged to collectively help each other move towards the truth. Thus, saints of various cults still maintain respect for each other while having differences in opinions.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

Human beings have the best faculty of reasoning and understanding. How a lame claim is that ‘human being is not expected to understand the complete truth in this life’.

Moreover, if a human doesn’t understand truth in this life, then according to your Birth-Rebirth Policy, he may not get another chance to understand and improve, because he doesn’t know whether he will be given a life of an animal, bird or human in the next supposedly life.

Now since a human according to you is not expected to understand the complete truth in this life, then it is obvious that he will commit sins and mistakes, and hence chances are less that he will again be born as a human.

Suppose that he is not born as a human, then he will not be able to understand the truth even more in his subsequent lives, because no other species has the sense to understand and reason more than a human.

So you see, according to this Birth-Rebirth Policy, that person who had been born in some other form in his next life will again be born in an inferior form and again and again continue being born as inferior species, because his sense of understanding will subsequently go on decreasing continuously as he is being born in inferior species and he will not be able to understand the truth as because humans (the best advanced species) is not supposed to understand the Truth completely. This means that no one will attain the so called Moksha.

So you see how this Birth-Rebirth Policy is in itself a flaw.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Agniveer states:

g. A unique characteristic of these religions is the emphasis on meditation. Meditation is process of mind control and a variety of techniques for all levels of people are recommended by these religions. Self-realization being the focus of life, meditation is considered more important than forcing others to believe in a particular ideology through force. Interestingly, all these religions consider ‘Om’ ॐ as primary chant for achieving Supreme bliss.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

We Muslims are commanded to offer Salaah (prayer) to Allah at least 5 times a day. During our Salaah we are in a state more advanced than meditation. We are in contact and communication with Our Creator. This not only purifies our soul, but also makes us realize the ultimate truth and bliss which we get by submitting our self to our creator.

Recently Tony Blair’s sister in law , Lauren booth, converted to Islam and in her statement as to what led her to accept the truth she said, that “She was mesmerized by the peace one gets while offering Prayer like we do and she could understand the immense amount of peace which we Muslims get by praying”. This was the statement of a Non-Muslim, the sister in law of a very big critic of Islam.

You can listen to her conversion story in her own words. Visit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LE-P7Ug5-Zk

Moreover, there is no compulsion in Islam as Allah said in Chapter 2 verse 256,

﴿لاَ إِكْرَاهَ فِى الدِّينِ﴾

(There is no compulsion in religion), meaning, “Do not force anyone to become Muslim, for Islam is plain and clear, and its proofs and evidence are plain and clear. Therefore, there is no need to force anyone to embrace Islam. Rather, whoever Allah directs to Islam, opens his heart for it and enlightens his mind, will embrace Islam with certainty. Whoever Allah blinds his heart and seals his hearing and sight, then he will not benefit from being forced to embrace Islam.”

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Agniveer states:

h. A lot of malpractices did creep into Hindu society over ages, partially due to the own debilities and partially due to influence of Arabic cults. But nonetheless, since there is no binding blind truth for a Hindu, they have scope to rise above these new weaknesses without having fear of being apostate.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

Well there is a very well known proverb which says:Ulta Chor Kotwaal Ko daante(The one who is a thief when asked, blames the Master).

The ‘Malpractices’ of the Hindu’s of doing ‘Idol Worship’ was taken up by some so called Muslims, and the result is quite obvious that we have people calling themselves Muslims, but still visiting ‘Graves’ and ‘Shrines’ to ask for help. These Muslims are completely ignorant about the definition of a Muslim and also ignorant about the teachings of the Qur’an.

Like Christians ask from Jesus Christ (pbuh), similarly many so called Muslims have over exaggerated in praising Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and asks from him rather than from the only true God.

All these are contrary to the teachings of Islam and contrary to the guidance taught by our last and final Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

All these were effects and ‘Malpractices’ which intoxicated the Pure Religion, when Islam came to India. This was not the case from the beginning.

It is quite evident that who introduced ‘Malpractices’ whether, the Arabs or the one’s trying to malign and mix in the original religion, of submitting to God.

If you want to see an example of who introduced malpractices then check this out: Here in India, welcoming Lakshmi with ‘Bismillah’

Agniveer states:

i. Each religion has its own religious book. Most of them consider Vedas to be supreme. Jains and Buddhists have their own texts. But no one claims that blind belief in any book is necessary. The only prerequisite is that one is desirous of knowing the truth and is putting efforts in that direction. Rest is supposed to happen automatically through forces of supreme.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

Wrong again! Neither Jainism, nor Buddhism nor Sikhism considers Vedas to be supreme. It is only Agniveer type Hindus of Arya Samajis who consider Vedas to be supreme.

In hindus only 4-5% arya samaji believe in vedas even in these 4- 5% only 6-7% read the vedas and all others read Satyartha Prakash(which is considered to be the key of vedas) .How pitiful it is that now Satyartha Prakash, which is full of anomilies, cheat and fraud, have higher authority then vedas. It is more ironical that even these arya samaji don’t read Satyarth Prakash with understanding otherwise they will themselves throw it over.

Well, the supremecy battle in Hinduism is really interesting. Some people say ‘Puranas’ are supreme some say Vedas some say ‘Ithihas’ some say ‘Bhagvad Gita’? Aryasamaji claims that only vedas are supreme and all other sciptures are fabricated and false. But majority of Hindus don’t consider Vedas to be authentic. We are here providing work of one Acharya .In this article he Proves that Puranas and Ithihas are the part of Vedas . He called them 5th Vedas. He even put a very important point before us that, there is no use of Vedas in this age and only 6% Vedas are left rest 94% had been lost.

Kindly see: Hindu scriptures: Battle of supremacy http://truthofhinduism.com/general/hinduism-scipturesbattle-supremacy/

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Agniveer states:

j. Each of these religions believe in Theory of Karma. It has several variations. But in principle, our present situations are supposed to be result of our past deeds and our future situations would be result of our present deeds. After death, one takes birth in most optimal place as per his deeds of previous life. Thus good deeds and noble thoughts are supposed to be key recipe for blissful life. The religious books are attempts to explain further details of what good deeds are. These are to be understood rather than mugged up blindly.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

How faulty this notion of the cycle of birth and rebirth is can be easily understood. Refer to answer to point (f) above and also answer to point (f) in the Second Section of this article and also

Agniveer states:

Miscellaneous Religions

Apart from these major religions, there are a minority of religions like Bahai, Zoroastrianism and new thoughts like Deism etc. Most of these are repackaging of the beliefs discussed earlier along with some of their own unique belief systems. The key point however is that none of them has ‘Only I am right’ approach and hence most of these are not part of any major controversies.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

Strange fact that Agniveer categorizes the source of the vedic religion, Zoroastrianism, under the category of ‘Miscellaneous or Minority Religion’.

Go through the following link and see how Vedas have Zoroastrianism sources:

http://www.theintellectual.info/religion/hinduism/281-vedas-are-not-eternal-a-detailed-analysis

Even the True religion of Submitting to Our Only Creator does not have ‘Only I am right’ approach as clearly explained in the First section under the heading: Can we say that My Religion is better than yours and more Superior?

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Agniveer states:

How people follow a religion

e. Among Christians and Muslims, a lot of inter-conversions take place because of the way their respective evangelists market their own book and highlight defects in other’s book. This is more like a Pepsi vs Coke happening. This is also true for the boutique baba religions.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

Now again Agniveer exposes itself and shows his biasness against Islam. People reading this article will by now have been very well aquainted with Agniveer’s lies and the Truth of Islam, Insha’ allah.

People revert back to Islam, because they truly understand the universatality of Islam, the religion of submitting yourself to the One and Only True God.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Agniveer states:

i. A very rare set of people actually analyze all religious ideologies in unbiased manner, or introspect on various aspects of life and then make an informed decision. The Arya Samajis of first generation belonged to this group. Though the modern day Arya Samajis are nothing but mostly Arya Samajis by default, as described in point a above.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

Arya Samajis saying this statement that they are unbiased doesn’t go down the throat of any one reading this article.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Agniveer states:

Solution to the confusion

This in brief is the status of religions as they exist today. Religions would continue to exist and create controversies till planet earth exists because ‘after death what?’ would remain a puzzle forever for human beings. A more pragmatic approach to living peacefully in this confusion would be to:

d. All religious heads should start taking religion not as a personal business or ego issue, but means to discover truth, Thus everyone should have dialogues, come up with common tenets and evolve a pro forma of universal religion that is same for all human beings and for all times. Each society/ individual should be given liberty to fill in minor details as per their own needs, without transgressing the overall framework.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

The Only solution to the problem will be, if people go back to their natural religion, their birth religion instead of following different religions. they should follow what is pure in its essence as well as definition.

So now Agniveer plans to bring up a NEW RELIGION, having the visions and advices of each society according to their needs. It is quite obvious that the society of thieves, repists etc will want to have share in this newly erected religion and fill in their own needs, because Agniveer is giving open chance to each society/ individual to fill in minor details as per their own needs.

Surely this will not be a religion from our creator. Our Creator is the one who created us and surely He didn’t forget to choose the right way/religion for us. Why do we need to erect such religions then? This is the very reason which has resulted into coming up of different religions out of the only religion of submitting to God.

Every society/individual would want to follow their desire, stubbornness etc, resulting in confusion and yet a new number of religions.

Rather, one option is to ‘Come upon and follow the commonalities in all religions’. A person should Research on his own religion as well as other religions and Insha’allah he will be guided to the ultimate truth of submitting to our creator.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Agniveer states:

e. The 11 tenets of religion as mentioned earlier should be foundation of this universal religion. Compassion, Character and Charity should be the guiding light.

I personally believe in Vedas being the only performa of such a universal religion. But even thrusting of Vedas as only truth, without due study by an individual, would be against the very essence of Vedas itself.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

The Sanskrit word véda “knowledge, wisdom” is derived from the root vid- “to know”. This is reconstructed as being derived from the Proto-Indo-European root *ueid-, meaning “see” or “know”. (Monier-Williams 2006, p. 1015; Apte 1965, p. 856)

As a noun, the word appears only in a single instance in the Rigveda, in RV 8.19.5, translated by Griffith as “ritual lore”:

yáḥ samídhā yá âhutī / yó védena dadâśa márto agnáye / yó námasā svadhvaráḥ

“The mortal who hath ministered to Agni with oblation, fuel, ritual lore, and reverence, skilled in sacrifice.”

The noun is from Proto-Indo-European *ueidos, cognate to Greek (ϝ)εἶδος “aspect”, “form” . Not to be confused is the homonymous 1st and 3rd person singular perfect tense véda, cognate to Greek (ϝ)οἶδα (w)oida “I know”. Root cognates are Greek ἰδέα, English wit, etc., Latin video “I see”, etc.[ see e.g. Pokorny’s 1959 Indogermanisches etymologisches Wörterbuch s.v. u(e)id-²; Rix’ Lexikon der indogermanischen Verben, ueid-. Old-slavic and old-church slavonic/old bulgarian form Template:Veda “knowledge” and verb Template:Vediti “to know”]

The mystical notions surrounding the concept of the one “Veda” that would flower in Vedantic philosophy have their roots already in Brahmana literature, for example in the Shatapatha Brahmana. The Vedas are identified with Brahman, the universal principle (ŚBM 10.1.1.8, 10.2.4.6). Vāc “speech” is called the “mother of the Vedas” (ŚBM 6.5.3.4, 10.5.5.1).

There are strong linguistic and cultural similarities between the Rigveda and the early Iranian Avesta, deriving from the Proto-Indo-Iranian times, often associated with the Andronovo culture; the earliest horse-drawn chariots were found at Andronovo sites in the Sintashta-Petrovka cultural area near the Ural Mountains and date to ca. 2000 BCE.[Drews, Robert (2004), Early Riders: The beginnings of mounted warfare in Asia and Europe, New York: Routledge, p. 50]

Vedas are Not Eternal http://www.theintellectual.info/religion/hinduism/281-vedas-are-not-eternal-a-detailed-analysis

Moreover, Arya Samajis claim that since Vedas were not written down and memorized and passed on as it is, hence there chances of being authentic are greater. You can see their claim here: http://agniveer.com/2697/why-vedas-cannot-be-changed/

Well I need to inform the people reading this that the Holy Qur’an, not only was it written down at the time of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) but also memorized in seven different styles by many Huffaz and today there exist thousands of people who have the Qur’an in their hearts, the way it was revealed, even the pronunciation is saved. Bothe the memorized one and the written one matches exactly and has been the same since 1400 years ago.

Qur’an was written down as well as memorized while the Vedas as claimed by Arya Samajis were only memorized. The oldest of manuscripts of Vedas belonging to the Vajasaneyi tradition are dated from the 11th century onwards.

Even some Acharya of Hindus says that only 6% Vedas has been left now and in this age there is no use of them

http://truthofhinduism.com/general/hinduism-scipturesbattle-supremacy/

This proves which of the books have greater chances of been preserved.

Forcing a religion or a Book is also prohibited in Islam, as explained earlier. Allah said in Chapter 2 verse 256,

﴿لاَ إِكْرَاهَ فِى الدِّينِ﴾

(There is no compulsion in religion)

Agniveer’s claim that the Vedas have been passed on till generations and is the same which their fathers and forefathers followed. They believe on it blindly even though it contains facts which go against established science. Allah answers this issue very well,

Qur’an 43:22-24Nay! They say: “We found our fathers following a certain way and religion, and we guide ourselves by their footsteps.”And similarly, We sent not a warner before you (O Muhammad SAW) to any town (people) but the luxurious ones among them said: “We found our fathers following a certain way and religion, and we will indeed follow their footsteps.”(The warner) said: “Even if I bring you better guidance than that which you found your fathers following?” They said: “Verily, We disbelieve in that with which you have been sent.”

Qur’an 2:170When it is said to them: “Follow what Allah has sent down.” They say: “Nay! We shall follow what we found our fathers following.” (Would they do that!) Even though their fathers did not understand anything nor were they guided?

Qur’an 5:104And when it is said to them: “Come to what Allah has revealed and unto the Messenger (Muhammad SAW for the verdict of that which you have made unlawful).” They say: “Enough for us is that which we found our fathers following,” even though their fathers had no knowledge whatsoever and no guidance.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Agniveer states:

Name of book, thus is not important. But the knowledge is. Let everyone follow the universal religion and whatever be the truth, we shall be guided towards that automatically in proportion to our efforts.

Till the intelligent among us work towards such a performa of universal religion, neither shall we be able to discover the mystery behind life, nor can there be peace in world. What shall remain is only the jungle rule of those who desire dominance in name of religion through politics, force or deceit.

Mere declaration that all religions are good, would be a fruitless exercise as we all internally know that this cannot be the case. A more sensible approach would be to actually work towards a truly good religion – a universal religion – through consensus and deliberations and then let that be the ONLY religion sufficient for human beings. As mentioned earlier, each society/ individual should be given liberty to fill in minor details as per their own needs, without transgressing the overall framework.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

Of course name of the book is not important, but the knowledge is. So how will one come to have knowledge of what is the truth and the right way? We have to be practical and assess all the religious scriptures and then ultimately we will come to the truth.

All religions are not equal, but they have some good things in them In the first section it has been proven as to why these religions are not equal and why they preach goodness.

As told earlier we humans are no one to select what is best for us. We are no one to arrive at a consensus of selecting or creating any new religion because what is good for some may not be good for others. So this theory of giving each society/individual a liberty to fill in details so that a new religion can be formed is really a faulty philosophy.

Remember truth can only be one. Search it before it is too late.

May we be guided to the truth by the guidance of our creator. May we strive and achieve the truth without an unbiased mind.

Our last call is all praise is to Allah and may His Salah and Salam be upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family.

Assalamu ‘alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatahu to our Muslim Ummah and a Warm Welcome to all Seekers of True Knowledge

Religion Demystified

Article is available here: http://agniveer.com/1696/religions-demystified/

Refutation by Brother Md. Zeeshan Akhtar assisted by Brother Neer

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

The artice is divided into 3 sections:

(Part 1) Demystifying Religion in True sense

(Part 2) Refuting the false and wrong informations given by Agniveer about Islam in his article.

(Part 3) Response to points raised about Eastern religion and Miscellaneous Religions

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

PART 2:

Refuting the false and wrong informations given by Agniveer about Islam in his article.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Agniveer states:

Introduction

The purpose of this article is to present an unbiased layman view of religions as of today. Majority of us fail to understand the apparent confusion of so many religions, all seemingly claiming to be best. Religion has become the prime pretext for all the violence, terrorism, fights and havoc all around the world. Religion seems to be the primary theme governing the world politics and society, yet most of us do not know what exactly it is all about. Most of us simply know the names of major religions – Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, Bahai etc and keep hearing how basically all teach the same good things and how all religions are equal. We also keep hearing lot of irrational stuff from all religions and hence tend to believe somewhere deep inside that it should not be taken so seriously.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

How much biased Agniveer is, is quite apparent if one goes completely through his articles.

This portion of Agniveer is very well answered in the First Part of this article titled (Religion Demystified) – [Part 1] – Demystifying Religion in True sense. and Insha’allah all the hypothesis written here by Agniveer will be answered.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Agniveer writes about Islam:

Religions of Visionaries

The other extreme is the cult of the ‘visionaries’ who see bit too much for normal people like you and me to appreciate and cross-verify even a small sample set of their ‘visions’.

This is the foundation of all Arabic religions like Judaism, Christianity or Islam. They are claimed to be founded by their respective Prophet(s) who saw things we could not see and told people what they should do to enjoy life after death and save themselves from troubles after death. Arab is a desert area that is known for mirage and hence it becomes confusing at times to ascertain if the prophets of these Arabic religions were having visions or mirage.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

Agniveer again shows his biasness and ignorance by claiming that Islam has been founded by a Prophet who saw things we could not see.

The religion of Islam is the Religion which our God chose for us. No prophet founded it. It existed since time immemorial as is apparent from the First Part of this article.

Also go through www.systemoflife.com/answering-islamophobes/agniveer/206

Well as regards to Prophets having mirage, then Agniveer should be well aware that ‘mirage is caused due to Reflection produced by bending of light rays coming from an already present object’. A mirage is a naturally occurring optical phenomenon in which light rays are bent to produce a displaced image of distant objects or the sky.

Mirage is different from illusions. Things seen in Mirage do really exist, though not at that place but somewhere near that place, the reflection of which is seen as mirage. If that thing does not exist, then it’s mirage is not possible. Mirages are not illusions.

So Agniveer wanted to prove by referring to Prophets having mirage that the Prophets description about miracles, Hell, heaven etc were ‘mirage’ which Agniveer thought were illusions and not true.  But unfortunately, even if it was mirage (which is not the true case) then also the revelations and phenomenon and miracles were true, because mirage occurs only if that thing is present in reality.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Agniveer disagrees with:

Following are the salient beliefs of these religions:

a. There is one God/Allah/Jehovah who created this world in 6/7/8 etc days and himself sits on some throne on 4th sky/ 7th sky/ Heaven etc.

b. We all are created by this God

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

Yes there is only One God who is our creator and the only one worthy to be thanked and worshipped. (See the Qur’an Chapter 112 verse 1-4)

The Qur’an mentions in several places that Allah created the heavens and the earth in six “ayam” (aeons) and then Istawa (rose over) the Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). One such verse is:

The Qur’an Surah Hadid Chapter 57 verse 4:

He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six “ayam” (aeons) and then Istawa (rose over) the Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). He knows what goes into the earth and what comes forth from it, what descends from the heaven and what ascends thereto. And He is with you (by His Knowledge) wheresoever you may be. And Allah is the All-Seer of what you do.

The correct meaning in this verse is “aeons” for the Arabic term “ayam,” which shows that heavens where created in 6 aeons, 6 long periods of time. Science does not contradict this at all, due to the fact there Science says it COULD have been created in 6 aeons.

Allah is above the throne as Surah Hadid 57:4 says, and it also symbolic that he has authority and rose over the throne, the throne of authority, signifying that he is the One and only creator of everything. Allah is LITERALLY above the throne, which no-one can imagine or see and which is nothing like us.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Agniveer disagrees with Islamic concept that:

c. We all are being tested by the God.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

Kindly Note: In the ArticleUnderstanding Vedic God, Agniveer writes under the heading

———————————————————————

Q: Should we worship Ishwar or not? Why? After all He never forgives!

A: Ishwar should be worshipped and He alone should be worshipped.

It is true that by worship of Ishwar, you will not receive any shortcut pass certificate when you have actually failed. Only lazy and cheaters desire such unscrupulous means to success.

———————————————————————

Just see and read the phrasewill not receive any shortcut pass certificate when you have actually failed.” Just ask yourself, will you get a pass certificate or will you fail without undergoing or giving any Test?

  • Qur’an 67:2Allah has created death and life, that He may test you which of you is best in deed.
  • Qur’an 2:155And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.).
  • Qur’an 3:140 If a wound (and killing) has touched you, be sure a similar wound (and killing) has touched the others. And so are the days (good and not so good), We give to men by turns, that Allah may test those who believe, and that He may take martyrs from among you.
  • Qur’an 5:48If Allah willed, He would have made you one nation, but that (He) may test you in what He has given you; so strive as in a race in good deeds. The return of you (all) is to Allah; then He will inform you about that in which you used to differ.
  • Qur’an 18:7Verily! We have made that which is on earth as an adornment for it, in order that We may test them (mankind) as to which of them are best in deeds.
  • Qur’an 29:2Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: “We believe,” and will not be tested.

Even Agniveer knows that this life is a test for the Hereafter and according to our deeds we will be judged in the hereafter and will either be given a pass certificate or fail.

Agniveer tries hard to hide these truth which are quite apparent but still they show outwardly that they don’t believe it in order to deviate people from coming and knowing their inborn actual religion of submitting oneself to our creator.

Agniveer claims:

d. God sends his Prophet(s) to guide the less privileged people. Only by following the most latest prophet can one go to Heaven, else he or she shall go to Hell which is place for torture. Review God must be crazy! to analyze this.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

God sent Prophets to every nation, not only to guide and warn the less privileged people but also the privileged ones.

By saying ‘Only by following the most latest prophet can one go to Heaven’ Agniveer wanted to say that the diffenet prophets preached different things.

This has been already answered in the First Part of this article under the heading: Did different Prophets/Messengers preach different things?

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Agniveer claims:

e. There is no way one can question these prophets. Questioning them is like insulting God and hence dispatches us to Hell.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

Again a blatant misconception/misinformation showing the biasness of Agniveer. Nowhere does the Qur’an or any authentic Ahadith says that questioning the prophet is like insulting God and will make us eligible for Hell.

On the Contrary Islam encourages questioning, questions related to faith, Qur’an etc.

Islam forbids useless questions which were asked to the prophet (pbuh) like `who is my father?’ `Where is my camel? etc.

People used to ask such useless questions to the Messenger of Allah to mock him.

Allah said in Chapter 5 verse 101,

O you who believe! Ask not about things which, if made plain to you, may cause you trouble. But if you ask about them while the Quran is being revealed, they will be made plain to you. Allah has forgiven that, and Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Forbearing.

This Ayah refers to good conduct that Allah is teaching His believing servants, by forbidding them from asking about useless things. Since if they get the answers they sought, they might be troublesome for them and difficult on their ears. Al-Bukhari recorded that Anas bin Malik said, “The Messenger of Allah gave a speech unlike anything I heard before. In this speech, he said,

«لَو تَعْلَمُونَ مَا أَعْلَمُ، لَضَحِكْتُمْ قَلِيلًا، وَلَبَكَيْتُمْ كَثِيرًا»

(If you but know what I know, you will laugh little and cry a lot.) The companions of Allah’s Messenger covered their faces and the sound of crying was coming out of their chests. A man asked, `Who is my father’ The Prophet said, `So-and-so’. This Ayah was later revealed,

﴿لاَ تَسْأَلُواْ عَنْ أَشْيَآءَ﴾

(Ask not about things…).” Muslim, Ahmad, At-Tirmidhi and An-Nasa’i recorded this Hadith.

Anas bin Malik narrated that once, the people were questioning the Messenger of Allah until they made him angry. So he ascended the Minbar and said,

«لَا تَسْأَلُونِي الْيَوْمَ عَنْ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا بَيَّنْتُهُ لَكُم»

(You will not ask me about anything today but I will explain it to you.) So the Companions of the Messenger of Allah feared that it was the commencement of a momentous event, and I looked to my right and left and found only people who covered their faces, crying. An argumentative man who was said to be the son of someone other than his true father asked, “O Allah’s Messenger! Who is my father The Prophet said, `Your father is Hudhafah.” `Umar stood up (when he saw anger on the Prophet’s face) and said, “We accept Allah as our Lord, Islam as our religion and Muhammad as our Messenger, I seek refuge with Allah from the evil of the Fitan (trials in life and religion).” The Messenger of Allah said,

«لَمْ أَرَ فِي الْخَيْرِ وَالشَّرِّ كَالْيَومِ قَطُّ، صُوِّرَتْ لِي الجَنَّةُ وَالنَّارُ حَتَّى رَأَيْتُهُمَا دُونَ الْحَائِط»

(I have never witnessed both goodness and evil like I have today. Paradise and the Fire were shown to me and I saw them before that wall.) This Hadith was recorded in the Two Sahihs from Sa`id. Al-Bukhari recorded that Ibn `Abbas said, “Some people used to question the Messenger of Allah to mock him. One of them would ask, `Who is my father,’ while another would ask, `Where is my camel,’ when he lost his camel. Allah sent down this Ayah about them.

People used to question the Messenger of Allah to mock him, like `who is my father?’ `Where is my camel?’ etc.

Such Useless questioning is prohibited in Islam. This verse of the Qur’an prohibits useless questions, and simultaneously encourages questioning about the verses of the Qur’an being revealed.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Agniveer claims:

f. Heaven and Hell are eternal. This life is the only life.

i. These cults believe that one day world will come to an end when people would be taken out from their graves and brought to a court where God will be judge and their respective prophet would be the lawyer. He shall take variety of evidences and then decide who shall go to Hell and who shall go to Heaven. And then Heaven or Hell will be eternal.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

No big deal in that. It is quite logical. Yes this life is the only life. A person if he wants to improve, has to improve within this lifetime. If not, he will have to bear the punishment.

Now a days we find Hindu terrorists reigning supreme be it LTTE or any other group. I think this is because they think, that they have countless umber of lives and chances to improve. Let’s enjoy this life and we will improve in the next life. Let’s propagate false notions about various religions and degrade the inborn religion, Islam, hiding behind the bush, because we have many births to improve ourselves. We will not be questioned. We are not being tested.

I think that this is the reason Priests like Swami Nityananda and many much more swamis have started their business of Sex-trading.

It’s really pathetic!

The concept of ‘this life being the only life’ and the result being ‘Hell or Heaven’ is more logical rather than the concept of the cycle of birth and rebirth as propounded by the Hindus.

If a class 10th student is told by his father that if he is doesn’t pass in the first attempt then he will be compelled to discontinue his studies. Then, how he will study? He will put all his efforts to pass exam in his first attempt itself. On contrary, those who think they have many attempts will put less effort.

Hell is eternal for only disbelievers. Any believer, after being punished for his sins in the Hell, will eventually at some point of time, be made dwellers of Heaven.

Every nation lays down certain rules and regulations for it’s citizens to follow. If one follows the basic regulations, then he is eligible to enjoy all the rights of the nation.

If he violates certain regulations, then he commits a crime. He has to go through the penalty for sometime and after that he is free to enjoy the rights of that nation.

If he violates all the basic regulations since the beginning and even after knowing his fault that he is going against the nation’s conduct, he violates the law just to serve his vain desires, then he is eligible for strict punishment only and can never enjoy the rights of the nation.

Agniveer claims:

g. Judaism considers Moses as the final Prophet, Christians consider Jesus and Muslims consider Muhammad as final one. Each of them brought his own final edition of God’s message. The fight among them is related to this controversy. Further, each of them is divided into huge number of sects which have there own different versions/ interpretations of the final book.

h. Muhammad being most pragmatic put an end to this Prophet business by claiming to be the Final Prophet till the world comes to an end. But some sects of Islam, claim to have new Prophets who only add upon existing message of Muhammad. The most prominent of these cults is Qadiyanis who consider Mirza Ghulam Ahmed to be final prophet. That is why other cults call Qadiyanis as Kafirs (non-Muslims) and hate them.

(Ironically, Zakir Naik has copied all his work from Qadiyani literature word by word, letter by letter, and promotes their Qadiyani specific views to claim popularity as expert of comparative religions. That is why this creates suspicion that he is actually a Qadiyani in disguise. Refer Dr Zakir Naik’s fraud exposed on this site.)

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

There are several Ayat testifying to the fact that Allah alone is the One Who guides and misguides, and similarly several authentic Ahadith and verse in the Qur’an (Surah Ahzab Chapter 33 verse 40) that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is the last of all messengers and apostle, contrary to the belief of the Qadiyani sect. They rely on their unclear understanding of an Ayat, thus avoiding what is clear and contradicts their desires. Theirs is the method of the people who follow their lust, desire and wickedness. An authentic Hadith narrated,

«إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُ الَّذِينَ يَتَّبِعُونَ مَا تَشَابَهَ مِنْهُ فَأُولئِكَ الَّذِينَ سَمَّى اللهُ فَاحْذَرُوهُمْ»

(When you see those who follow what is not so clear in it (the Qur’an), then they are those whom Allah has mentioned (refer to 3:7). Hence, avoid them.)

The Prophet was referring to Allah’s statement,

(So as for those in whose hearts there is a deviation (from the truth) they follow that which is not entirely clear thereof, seeking Al-Fitnah (polytheism and trials), and seeking for its hidden meanings)(3:7).

Verily, no innovator in the religion could ever rely on any authentic evidence in the Qur’an that testifies to his innovation. The Qur’an came to distinguish between truth and falsehood, and guidance and misguidance. The Qur’an does not contain any discrepancies or contradictions, because it is a revelation from the Most Wise, Worthy of all praise.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Agniveer claims:

j. The entire fight in West today is on following:

– Which of the cults of Islam is the true cult of God? Shia, Sunni, Qadiyani etc.

– Which is true religion? Judaism, Christianity or Islam?

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

As explained earlier, Islam is the true and pure religion, from our Only Creator. It has no divisions. Those who have divided the religion or derived any New religion out of it, is surely going against the Qur’an and is diverting from true guidance. A true Muslim is the One following the Qur’an and the authentic sayings and guidance of the Messengers. There are many who claim to follow these but their practices and beliefs clearly contradicts the Qur’an.

Allah says in the Qur’an in Chapter 6 verse 159: Verily, those who divide their religion and break up into sects (all kinds of religious sects), you (O Muhammad SAW) have no concern in them in the least. Their affair is only with Allah, Who then will tell them what they used to do.

Qur’an 3: 103And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allah (i.e. this Quran), and be not divided among yourselves,

Surely those who deny the verses of the Qur’an, then whoever he might be, is not on true guidance.

Allah says in The Qur’an in Chapter 3 verse 73

﴿قُلْ إِنَّ الْهُدَى هُدَى اللَّهِ﴾

(Say: (O Prophet) “Verily, right guidance is the guidance of Allah.”)

  • Qur’an Chapter 3 verse 101: …And whoever holds firmly to Allah, (i.e. follows Islam Allahs Religion, and obeys all that Allah has ordered, practically), then he is indeed guided to a Right Path.
  • Qur’an Chapter 3 verse 103And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allah (i.e. this Quran), and be not divided among yourselves, and remember Allah’s Favour on you,…
  • Qur’an Chapter 3 verse 105: And be not as those who divided and differed among themselves after the clear proofs had come to them. It is they for whom there is an awful torment.

It is hard to see that among the options given for one in the West to select the True Religion, Agniveer didn’t mention Hinduism. I guess, he agrees that Hinduism is actually teachings of men, not of the Almighty God and the Western people knows this fact that they cannot be fooled with illogical Hinduism.

Allah says in The Qur’an Chapter 3 verse 19

Truly, the religion with Allah is (submitting your will to Allah) Islam. Those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) did not differ except, out of mutual jealousy, after knowledge had come to them. And whoever disbelieves in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah, then surely, Allah is Swift in calling to account.

  • Qur’an 12:40“….Allah has commanded that you worship none but Him (i.e. His Monotheism), that is the (true) straight religion, but most men know not.
  • Qur’an 30:30So set you (O Muhammad SAW) your face towards the religion of pure Islamic Monotheism Hanifa (worship none but Allah Alone) Allahs Fitrah (i.e. Allahs Islamic Monotheism), with which He has created mankind. No change let there be in Khalqillah (i.e. the Religion of Allah Islamic Monotheism), that is the straight religion, but most of men know not. (Tafsir AtTabaree, Vol 21, Page 41)
  • Qur’an 98:5 – And they were commanded not, but that they should worship Allah, and worship none but Him Alone (abstaining from ascribing partners to Him), and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and give Zakat: and that is the right religion.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Agniveer claims:

k. Jews (follower of Judaism) do not fight much because they consider themselves to be privileged ones having message of God. They thus do not get into competition of expanding their population base. There fight is restricted to unfriendly neighbors 9Arab countries) whose religious books term Jews as worst of the lot. But for Islam and Christianity, one of the most important performance metric set by God to qualify for Heaven is the number of people they can bring into their respective folds.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

This clearly exposes the Biasness of Agniveer and it’s hatred towards Islam. But, he needs to learn again the A,B,C,D ‘s ….. of Islam, then open up his biased mouth to comment.

We Muslims, are commanded to inform others of the Truth of Islam, their inborn religion. We have no authority to convert them or guide them, but only to convey the message. Even Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and all the previous Messengers (peace be upon them all) had no authority to convert any one.

The messenger’s duty is only to convey the message and this is mentioned in several places in the Qur’an. I am only giving examples of few,

  • (your duty is only to convey and on Us is the reckoning) Qur’an 13:40
  • The Messenger’s duty is only to convey in a clear way) Qur’an 24:54
  • (So remind them — you are only one who reminds. You are not a dictator over them.) Qur’an 88:21-22

Allah said in Chapter 2 verse 256,

﴿لاَ إِكْرَاهَ فِى الدِّينِ﴾

(There is no compulsion in religion), meaning, “Do not force anyone to become Muslim, for Islam is plain and clear, and its proofs and evidence are plain and clear. Therefore, there is no need to force anyone to embrace Islam. Rather, whoever Allah directs to Islam, opens his heart for it and enlightens his mind, will embrace Islam with certainty. Whoever Allah blinds his heart and seals his hearing and sight, then he will not benefit from being forced to embrace Islam.”

If we convey the message and the seeker of Truth realizes that Islam is the ultimate truth, then this is not called converting. It is called serving mankind by telling them the truth and every service done to any animate thing is a performance metric for us Muslims and we get rewarded for that with good deeds.

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) had said: “There is a reward for serving any animate (living being)” [Bukhari :: Volume 8 :: Book 73 :: Hadith 38]

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Agniveer claims:

l. Each of these religions claims to be religion of peace. However the only rider is that this peace is for believers only. Non-believers are not tolerated in them. The level of tolerance has reduced chronologically. Thus Jews keep to themselves, but Christians allow use of sword and deceit to convert people. Islam goes a step further ahead by claiming that those who fight in path of promoting Allah and die become the recipient of best facilities in Heaven.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

Islam is the most tolerant of all religion which orders a believer to respect, love, and care for the unbelievers, those who have done nothing like attacking or cheating the Muslim Ummah.

Only at times of war, when the disbelievers have cheated, then only Muslims are commanded to fight the disbelievers, but if they demand peace, reconciliation, then Muslims are ordered to be tolerant to them even at times of war.

Allah forbids unnecessary attacking or hurting the disbelievers. Moreover, even if the unbelievers attack you, and during the course of war, demand your protection, then Muslims are commanded to give them protection and to take them to a secure place.

Allah says in The Qur’an Chapter 9 verse 5:

And if anyone of the Mushrikoon (polytheists, idolaters, pagans, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) seeks your protection then grant him protection, so that he may hear the Word of Allah (the Qur’an), and then escort him to where he can be secure, that is because they are men who know not.

How much more tolerant can one be?

Allah says in The Qur’an Chapter 60 verse 8:

Allah does not forbid you to deal justly and kindly with those who fought not against you on account of religion and did not drive you out of your homes. Verily, Allah loves those who deal with equity.

Imam Ahmad recorded that Asma’ bint Abu Bakr said, “My mother, who was an idolatress at the time, came to me during the Treaty of Peace, the Prophet conducted with the Quraysh. I came to the Prophet and said, `O Allah’s Messenger! My mother came visiting, desiring something from me, should I treat her with good relations’ The Prophet said,

«نَعَمْ صِلِي أُمَّك»

(Yes. Keep good relation with your mother.)” The Two Sahihs recorded this Hadith. Imam Ahmad recorded that `Abdullah bin Zubayr said, “Qutaylah came visiting her daughter, Asma’ bint Abi Bakr, with some gifts, such as Dibab, cheese and clarified (cooking) butter, and she was an idolatress at that time. Asma’ refused to accept her mother’s gifts and did not let her enter her house. `A’ishah asked the Prophet about his verdict and Allah sent down the Ayah, 60:8 (Allah does not forbid you with those who fought not against you on account of religion) until the end of the Ayah. Allah’s Messenger ordered Asma’ to accept her mother’s gifts and to let her enter her house.”

Islam is Alhamdolillah the Most tolerant of all religions, because it is the Only religion (the religion of submitting yourself to Almighty God) which our Creator chose for us.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Agniveer claims:

n. Existence of miracles is supposed to be greatest proofs of validity of these religions. It is a different matter that the evidence, description and testimony of these miracles are restricted to their respective books only. Some of the miracles are Moses splitting the Red Sea, Jesus reviving back to life after crucification, Virgin Mary giving birth to Jesus, Muhammad splitting the moon, Muhammad traveling to 7th sky on a girl-faced donkey (Buraq) through Miraj Travels in a night, Muhammad having revelations coming from an angel called Gabriel etc.

One has to blindly believe in all this to escape Hell and achieve Heaven.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

Again the illiteracy of Agniveer is prominent when he claims that One has to blindly believe in all this to escape Hell and achieve Heaven.

Allah shows signs everywhere about the truth of Islam being the only religion of Our Creator. Among the six articles of faith there is not one which says that we have to believe in these miracles, even though these are true, to go to Heaven.

  • Moses (pbuh) did split the Red Sea with Allah’s permission.
  • Jesus (pbuh) was born miraculously without any male intervention, but by Allah’s permission.
  • Jesus (pbuh) was not crucified. He has been raised up alive and will come before the Day of Judgment.
  • Muhammad (pbuh) did split the moon.
  • Muhammad (pbuh) did go for Miraj, but not on a girl-faced donkey and neither through Miraj travels (which Agniveer falsely says without any proof. Agniveer’s lies are quite evident)
  • Not only Muhammad (pbuh), every prophet of Allah received revelations.

All these were Signs, rather than miracles. In the description of these events, The Qur’an does not use the technical Arabic word for miracle المعجزات (Muadjiza) literally meaning “that by means of which [the Prophet] confounds, overwhelms, his opponents”. It rather uses the term ‘Ayah’ (literally meaning sign).

Though these are Signs performed with Allah’s permission, It is not an article of faith to believe in them to attain Paradise.

But a believer believes that Allah can show us any signs if He wills.

The Qur’an itself is a miracle. Moreover, there are numerous scientific miracles also mentioned in the Qur’an.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Agniveer claims:

o. These religions are silent on status of animals and insects – whether they have soul, will they go to Heaven/hell, in what form etc.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

Islam is never silent on any issues if it is an important matter or a matter of concern, because it is the only universal religion not bounded to any specific types of people, region etc.

One verse from the Word of Our Creator, the Qur’an Chapter 6 verse 38 answers your queries and reminds that Allah never neglects anything:

There is not a moving (living) creature on earth, nor a bird that flies with its two wings, but are communities like you. We have neglected nothing in the Book, then unto their Lord they (all) shall be gathered.

Allah’s statement,

﴿مَّا فَرَّطْنَا فِى الكِتَـبِ مِن شَىْءٍ﴾

(We have neglected nothing in the Book,) means, the knowledge about all things is with Allah, and He never forgets any of His creatures, nor their sustenance, nor their affairs, whether these creatures live in the sea or on land. In another Ayah, Allah said;

(And no moving creature is there on earth but its provision is due from Allah. And He knows its dwelling place and its deposit (in the uterus, grave, etc.). All is in a Clear Book.) ﴿11:6﴾, there is a record of their names, numbers, movements, and lack of movement.

﴾Ibn Abi Hatim reported that Ibn `Abbas said about the Qur’an Chapter 6 ayah 38,

﴿ثُمَّ إِلَى رَبِّهِمْ يُحْشَرُونَ﴾

(then unto their Lord they (all) shall be gathered.) “Death gathers them.” It was also said that the Day of Resurrection gathers them, for in another Ayah, Allah said;

﴿وَإِذَا الْوُحُوشُ حُشِرَتْ ﴾

(And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together.) ﴿81:5﴾ `Abdur-Razzaq recorded that Abu Hurayrah said about Allah’s statement,

(but are Umam like you. We have neglected nothing in the Book, then unto their Lord they (all) shall be gathered.) “All creatures will be gathered on the Day of Resurrection, the beasts, birds and all others.

The Qur’an applies the word “Muslim” not only to humans but also to animals and the inanimate world. “The divine will manifests itself in the form of laws both in human society and in the world of nature.” In Islamic terminology, for example, a bee is a Muslim precisely because it lives and dies obeying the sharia that God has prescribed for the community of bees, just as a person is a Muslim by virtue of the fact that he or she submits to the revealed sharia ordained for humans in the Qur’an and Sunnah.

This fact is very much clear by the verse of the Qur’an Chapter 22 verse 18 where Allah says,

See you not that to Allah prostrates whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the mountains, and the trees, and Ad-Dawab (moving living creatures, beasts, etc.), and many of mankind? But there are many (men) on whom the punishment is justified. And whomsoever Allah disgraces, none can honour him. Verily! Allah does what He wills.

Animals and other living things were created by Allah, the Lord of the Universe. They have their own independent existences and modes of living. (55:10)

Allah says in The Qur’an in 3:185, 21:35 and 29:57

“Every soul shall have a taste of death in the end to us shall you be brought back.”

It is quite clear from the above verse that anything which has a soul will die. We know that plants die, we know that animals die, so they all have souls. And all of them will be returned to Allah and assembled together on the day of Judgment.

Many passages from the Qur’an and Ahadith state that all animals are endowed with spirit and mind and “…there is ample evidence in the Qur’an to suggest that animals’ consciousness of spirit and mind is of a degree higher than mere instinct and intuition. We are told in the Qur’an that animals have a cognizance of their Creator and, hence, they pay their obeisance to Him by adoration and worship: Seest thou not that it is Allah Whose praises are celebrated by all beings in the heavens and on earth, and by the birds with extended wings? Each one knows its prayer and psalm, And Allah is aware of what they do. (Qur’an 24:41).

It is worth noting the statement that ‘each one knows its prayer and psalm’. The execution of a voluntary act, performed consciously and intentionally, requires a faculty higher than that of instinct and intuition. Lest some people should doubt that animals could have such a faculty, the following verse points out that it is human ignorance that prevents them from understanding this phenomenon: The seven heavens and the earth and all things therein declare His glory. There is not a thing but celebrates His adoration; and yet ye mankind! ye understand not how do they declare His glory…(Qur’an 17:44).

Agniveer claims:

q. Muslim countries are most rigid on religious beliefs. If one questions Quran in Islamic country, as per Sharia, he is liable to be killed. Muslim clerics can still tolerate questioning of Allah, but if their Prophet is questioned, they start proclaiming fatwa of death for the questioner. Thus unlike Jew or Christian people, most Muslims live in fear of adverse eventualities if they question Islam. Many other start rationalizing this and most others are brainwashed to believe that Islam alone is best, regardless of whether they know Arabic, have ever understood Quran or can critically examine Islam.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Response:

Wrong again !

No sensible Person will question against the Qur’an. If in doubt, one can surely question and ask the people and learned men who knows as is mentioned in the Qur’an 16:43.

Qur’an forbids unnecessary useless questions as already discussed earlier in answer to point (e).

Again a lie that Muslim clerics can tolerate questioning of Allah, but not of Prophet. I don’t know how biased a person like Agniveer can be. He is claiming to be unbiased and on the other hand giving information about Hinduism in the disguise of Islam.

See again answer to point (e).

If anyone starts examining the Qur’an critically then Insha’allah he/she will accept Islam, leave aside questioning as had been the case with many reverts to Islam. This is the reason Arya Samajis like Agniveer, and all those who are biased and bent on deviating people from the truth , don’t read or critically examine the Qur’an as a whole, because if they do so, they will insha’allah accept Islam.

But as is obvious, Agniveer’s mission in this birth life and all his supposed cycles, is to hinder people from the Truth.

Allah Shapeless or Limited

leave a comment »

Article by Brothers Mushafiq Sultan & Asim ul Haq

Proof reading by Sister Noor ul Huda

Assalamualaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barkatahu (May Peace, Blessings & Mercy of Allah Be Upon You)

This Article is in reply to the article in Anti Islamic website agniveer.com with title, Allah – Shapeless or Limited? Article is available here: http://agniveer.com/939/allah-shapeless/

Response to the above article is divided in 3 parts

1) Introductory reply to topic

2) Replying Agniveer’s 12 points against Qur`an

3) Replying Agniveer’s 7 points on the concept of God in Vedas (a) to (g).

1) Introductory reply to topic

Agniveer states:

The common Muslim belief is that Allah is a shapeless and omnipresent entity. This is not only an accurate description of qualities of All-powerful Ishwar, but also in lines with Vedas.

Response:

The author don’t even know the actual belief of Muslims, A Muslim will never say Allah is omnipresent with his essence, but the belief of a Muslim is Allah is everywhere with his knowledge and Allah is over (Istawaa) the (Mighty) Throne in a manner that suits His Majesty, separate from his creation and we believe in his attributes without matching HIM with HIS creation (whoever does that he is not a muslim) because there is nothing like unto HIM (Allah).

For proof see these Ayahs.

[057:004] He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days and then Istawa (rose over) the Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). He knows what goes into the earth and what comes forth from it, what descends from the heaven and what ascends thereto. And He is with you (by His Knowledge) wheresoever you may be. And Allah is the All-Seer of what you do (Muhammad Al-Hilali & Muhsin Khan).

[042:011]The Creator of the heavens and the earth. He has made for you mates from yourselves, and for the cattle (also) mates. By this means He creates you (in the wombs). There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer.(Muhammad Al-Hilali & Muhsin Khan)

So, when starting of the article is so weak because they don’t know the creed of their opponent, how can their article be a credible any more? The whole article is answered in these few sentences but still we are replying to author’s arguments.

Agniveer states:

However if we dwell into the modern Quran, we can witness an Allah which has a shape and size. This is in sharp contradiction to the established concept of Allah and hint at either there being tampering with original Quran or that Quran is not the final word of either Muhammad or Allah.

Response:

What does he mean by Modern Qur`an?? The Qur`an never changed, it is the same as it was 1400 years ago, Alhumdu`lillah, Holy Qura’an says;

[015:009] Verily We: It is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Quran) and surely, We will guard it (from corruption). (Muhammad Al-Hilali & Muhsin Khan:)

Check this link, “The Compilation of the Quran” (from kids corner of website because author don’t even know basics)

http://www.islamweb.net/kidsen/kids%20corner%201,2/subjects/gam3elkoraan1.html

2) Replying Agniveer’s 12 points against Qur`an

Agniveer states:

1. Surate Yunis, Ayat 6 states that Allah created the sky and earth in 6 days and then settled at the top in his throne.

Response:

This is utter lie because this is what Allah says in SURAH YUNUS (not Yunis)

[010:006] Verily, in the alternation of the night and the day and in all that Allah has created in the heavens and the earth are Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) for those people who keep their duty to Allah, and fear Him much. (Muhammad Al-Hilali & Muhsin Khan)

So, it is clearly seen that what the ayah says and what the author claimed about the ayah are two way different things?? I believe he just copied and pasted or he is willingly trying to deceive.

Agniveer states:

2. Surate Hood, Ayat 7 states that Allah created the sky and earth in 6 days and his throne is over the water.

Tafseer Husaini, a supposedly authoritative commentary on Quran states that Allah created a green stone before creating the world and saw it with anger. This caused the stone to become water. Then Allah created air and kept water over air. Then he made his throne above this water.

It is obvious that writers of Quran were ignorant of science and hence thought that since rainfall comes from top, there must be water over air. And since there is so much empty space on top, Allah must be sitting there!

Response:

Firstly I have never ever heard about the tafsir of husaini, and i don’t know who is the author, this commentary is not authority in any case.

Secondly ,this is Surah Hud ayah 7

[011:007] And He it is Who has created the heavens and the earth in six Days and His Throne was on the water, that He might try you, which of you is the best in deeds. But if you were to say to them: “You shall indeed be raised up after death,” those who disbelieve would be sure to say, “This is nothing but obvious magic.”(Muhammad Al-Hilali & Muhsin Khan)

Prophet peace be upon him said, «كَانَ اللهُ قَبْلَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ، وَكَانَ عَرْشُهُ عَلَى الْمَاءِ، وَكَتَبَ فِي اللَّوْحِ الْمَحْفُوظِ ذِكْرَ كُلِّ شَيْء  »

(Allah was before everything and His Throne was over the water. He then wrote in the Preserved Tablet (Loh e Mahfooz) mentioning everything.) (Commentry of Ibne kathir under the ayah 11:7)

So what is the problem here?? There is no beginning of Allah, and as we already made it clear, Allah is over (Istawaa) the (Mighty) Throne in a manner that suits His Majesty, separate from his creation and we believe in his attributes without matching with HIS creation(whoever matches he is not a muslim) because there is nothing like unto him (Allah).

Check the following article regarding the belief of Muslims: http://www.as-salaf.com/article.php?aid=66&lang=en

The Istiwa of Allah Almighty does not resemble the istiwa of creation, rather, we believe that Allah istawa over His Throne in a manner befitting His Majesty, not like that of creation.

Allah (swt) said : [42:11] There is nothing like Him, and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer

And,

[112:4]And there is none coequal or comparable to Him

The kayfiyyah (reality; how-ness) of Allah’s Istiwa is unknown to us, as Allah has not informed us, nor did His Messenger –sallallahu alayhi wa salamm-, on the details of this matter, and it is not permissible to ask about the kayfiyyah of His Attributes. Allah Almighty alone knows how He Rose (Istawa) over His Throne and our duty is to believe and submit without doubt.

Agniveer states:
So much for Islamic science. However what is more important is that this makes clear that his throne is a finite object and hence Allah is also finite in size. Also since Allah is on his throne, he is not below the air and water. Thus the Allah of Quran is limited in shape and location, contrary to common belief of Muslims.

Response

Here Agniveer is comparing Allah and his throne to His creation, (which is Kufar). Also No Muslim believes that Allah has limitations rather, the scholars (may Allah have mercy on them) have stated that the Throne covers all of creation and is above it.

For more detail see, “Is the Throne above the seventh heaven?” source: http://islamqa.com/en/ref/47048

And if someone says that Muslim do believe in limitations, then that is with the meaning:” which distinguishes Him from anything else”;

Shaykh ul Islam ibn Taymiyyah discusses the statements of those from the Pious Predecessors who negated the usage of the word hadd(limit), and those who used it, and explains that in reality both groups were saying the same thing, and the difference was merely of wording not of meaning:

“If the understood meaning of this word is that Allah is in any way enclosed by His creation, then Allah is Greater and more Mighty, rather His Kursi is as the expanse of the Heavens and the earth…and if what is meant by this word is that he is distinct from His creation, then He is as the Imaams of Ahlus Sunnah said about Him: over His Heavens, above His Throne, distinct from creation.” [‘at-Tadmuriyyah’ (pg.46)of ibn Taymiyyah, check also for further details, ‘Talbees al-Jahmiyyah’ (2/163)] (See saying of Shaykh Ibne Tamiyah here: http://islamworld.net/docs/tay.html)

Agniveer states:

Please note that the concept of a shapeless, omnipresent Allah is inspired from Vedas, which form the foundation of all that is good and right in Quran. Also, unlike Quran, Vedas are available in same original form as when it was first revealed in hearts of Rishis.

Response:

This is utter lie because no Muslim believe in Allah’s omnipresence, This is Agniveer belief, and If Vedas are still in orignal form, can they tell us to which Prophet Vedas were revealed?? This is not the time to praise vedas.

See Islamic Answer regarding Vedas: http://www.ilovezakirnaik.com/misconceptions/c10.htm

Agniveer states:

3. Surate Haka 17 states that eight people will lift the throne of Allah Miyan. Tafseere Husaini details it further by stating that those who will lift the throne of Allah will have faces like goats from mountains. The distance between their ankles and knees will equal the distance from one sky to another sky.  (Islam believes there are 7 skies!)

Response:

1stly there is nothing like ALLAH MIYAN??

2ndly Tafseer Husaini is no where evidence, and

3rdly this is not 7 skies but 7 layers.

Ibn Katheer commented in his Tafseer on the saying of Allah (which means): {who has created the seven heavens one above the another.}[67:3] which means layers one above another. With regard to whether these layers are successive one on top of the other, or they are separate and there is gap between them; there are two opinions about this.

The most correct opinion, however, is that the layers are separate and there is gap between them. The evidence is the narration about Israa’ and Mi’araaj and other narrations. One of these narrations is classified as weak by some scholars. The narration is as following: The Prophet said: “And between each heaven and the other, there is a distance of travel of 500 years, and the thickness of each heaven is a distance of travel of 500 years.” [Ahmad].

Coming to SURAH AL-HAQQAH (not Hakka) Ayah 17 agniveer claims that 8 people will lift the throne, this is not 8 people this is Angels;

The ayah says:

And the angels will be on its sides, and eight angels will, that Day, bear the Throne of your Lord above them.

No where it says Angels will lift Allah.

Commentary of Ibne Kathir says;

(And the angels will be on its sides,) The word Malak here is referring to the species of angels (all of them); meaning the angels collectively will be standing on the sides of the heavens. Ar-Rabi` bin Anas said concerning Allah’s statement,

﴿وَالْمَلَكُ عَلَى أَرْجَآئِهَآ﴾

(And the angels will be on its sides,) “This means that they will be standing on what has been ground to powder of the heavens looking at the people of the earth.’

Agniveer states:

Thus,

a. Allah is definitely finite because he will be lifted by people of finite size.

Response

No where the ayah says Angels will lift Allah

2ndly;

A man asked Imam Malik (d. 179): “How did Allah make istiwa’ on the throne?” Imam Malik inclined his head and was silent until the sweat of fever covered his brow, then he looked up and said: “Istiwa’ is not unknown (ghayru majhul), the modality of it is inconceivable in the mind (al-kayfu minhu ghayru ma`qul); but belief in it is obligatory, and inquiring about it is a heretical innovation. You are an innovator.” And he gave orders for him to be taken out.

In Asool ul Aiteqaad PAGE 398 AND 399

Imam Malik also said;

Ashhab bin Abdul Aziz said: I heard the Malik saying: “Beware of innovations, it was said, O Abu Abdullah, and what is innovation? He said: the people of innovation are those who speak regarding the names and attributes of God and his speech and his knowledge and ability and do not remain silent about where the companions were silent and the tabiuun. ذم الكلام ( ق173 – أ )

Agniveer states:

b. Allah has to be smaller than the throne he sits on, at least in width.

Response:

No one believes that Allah sits on throne it has been clarified before.

Throne covers all of creation and is above it. The kayfiyyah (reality; how-ness) of Allah’s Istiwa is unknown to us, as Allah has not informed us, nor did His Messenger –sallallahu alayhi wa salamm-, on the details of this matter, and it is not permissable to ask about the reality, howness of His Attributes. Allah Almighty alone knows how He Rose (Istawa) over His Throne, and our duty is to believe and submit.

Agniveer states:

4. Surate Sijada 5 says that He manages affairs of earth and then rises up to the sky in one Godly day which equals 1000 human years.

Now, how can someone who moves up and down in 1000 years be shapeless.

Some experts say that this description is for angels. Even if that be so, if angels take 1000 years to reach him, that also means that Allah is finite and limited in space. Because one need not travel to reach someone who is present everywhere.

Response

No where this verse says that ALLAH moves up and down in 1000 years, it is an utter lie, and how cleverly he said some experts say that this is description for angles. In fact it is not some experts but all the Muslims say it is not for Allah nor this ayah is for Angels, but this is for deeds and affairs.

The ayat is here:

[032:005] He arranges (every) affair from the heavens to the earth, then it (affair) will go up to Him, in one Day, the space whereof is a thousand years of your reckoning (i.e. reckoning of our present worlds time).(Muhammad Al-Hilali & Muhsin Khan)

Ibne Kathir Commented

This is like the Ayah, ﴿

(It is Allah Who has created seven heavens and of the earth the like thereof. The command descends between them, ) (65:12) Deeds are raised up to the place of recording above the lowest heaven.

Agniveer states:

This is further emphasized in Surate-Maariz Ayat 4 which states that Spirits and Angels rise up to him in 50,000 years.

Now whether the actual time taken is 50,000 years or 1000 years is another contradiction in Quran which proves that it is defective or interpolated. But regardless of that, the finite shape and limited scope of Allah is proven.

Response

This accusation is already replied see here http://ilovezakirnaik.com/misconceptions/b14.htm

Extracted from above link;

1. Time of Allah is incomparable to earthly time

The Qur’an says in two verses, (22:47 and 32:5), that the measure of one day in the sight of Allah is equal to 1,000 years of our reckoning. In another verse (70:4) it says that the measure of one day in the sight of Allah is equal to 50,000 years of our reckoning.

These verses generally mean that the time of Allah (swt) is incomparable to the earthly time. The examples given are of one thousand years and fifty thousand years of the earthly time. In other words thousands of years or a very, very long time of the earth is a day in the sight of Allah.

2. Yaum also means Period

The Arabic word used in all these three verses is yaum, which, besides meaning a day also means a long period, or an epoch. If you translate the word yaum correctly as ‘period’ there will be no confusion.

a) The verse from Surah Hajj reads as:

“Yet they ask thee to hasten on the Punishment! but Allah will not fail in His promise. Verily a Day in the sight of thy Lord is like a thousand years of your reckoning”.[Al-Qur’an 22:47]

When the unbelievers asked to hasten the punishment the Qur’an says Allah will not fail in His promise. Verily a period in the sight of Allah is like a thousand years of your reckoning.

b) The verse from Surah Al-Sajdah says:

“He rules (all) affairs from the heavens to the earth: in the end will (all affairs) go up? To Him, on a Day, the space whereof will be (as) a thousand years of your reckoning”.[Al-Qur’an 32:5]

This verse indicates that a period required for all the affairs to go up to Allah (swt), is a thousand years of our reckoning.

c) A verse from Surah Al-Maarij says:

“The angels and the spirit ascend unto Him in a Day the measure whereof is (as) fifty thousand years”.[Al-Qur’an 70:4]

This verse means that the period required for angels and the spirits to ascend unto Allah (swt) is fifty thousand years.

d) The period for two different acts need not be the same. For example the period required for me to travel to destination ‘A’ say Vashi is one hour and the period required for me to travel to destination ‘B’ i.e. Kashmir is 50 hours. This does not indicate that I am making two contradictory statements.

Thus the verses of the Qur’an don’t contradict each other and they are in perfect harmony with established modern scientific facts.

Agniveer states:

5. Sura-e-vakiya 9,10 describe Heaven and Hell. It says that Heaven is on right side of Allah’ throne and Hell on left side. Tafseer Husaini elaborates further that those who will go to Hell will go towards left of throne and those who will go to Heaven will go to right of the throne.

This proves that the throne is limited in space. Obviously, one who sits on a limited space is also limited.

Response:

I wonder if he ever read holy Qur’an! Here are the verse 9,10 of surah waqiyah:

[056:009] And those on the Left Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Record in their left hands), Who will be those on the Left Hand? (As a disgrace for them, because they will enter Hell).

[056:010] And those foremost ((in Islamic Faith of Monotheism and in performing righteous deeds) in the life of this world on the very first call for to embrace Islam,) will be foremost (in Paradise).(Muhammad Al-Hilali & Muhsin Khan)

So these verses are about those who will be given their Record of deeds in their left hands.

Tafsir Jalalyain says:

And those of the left [hand] (al-mash’ama means al-shimāl, ‘left’), each of whom is given his record [of deeds] in their left hands — what of those of the left [hand]? — an expression of contempt for their status on account of their admittance into the Fire.

Tafsir At Tasturi says:

And those of the left hand, what of those of the left [ hand]?
This means those who are given the book [of deeds] in their left hand.

Agniveer states:

6. Surate Airaf 143 states that when Allah saw the hill, it broke into pieces and Moses went unconscious. Obviously Moses must have witnessed lightning and got unnecessarily scared. But what is obvious is that the light in Allah’s eyes was finite and limited to size of the hill. So Allah has a finite-sized eye and hence is limited in shape and power.

Response

This is the ayah 143 of SURAH AARAF;

[007:143] And when Moosa (Moses) came at the time and place appointed by Us, and his Lord spoke to him, he said: “O my Lord! Show me (Yourself), that I may look upon You.” Allah said: “You cannot see Me, but look upon the mountain if it stands still in its place then you shall see Me.” So when his Lord appeared to the mountain, He made it collapse to dust, and Moosa (Moses) fell down unconscious. Then when he recovered his senses he said: “Glory be to You, I turn to You in repentance and I am the first of the believers.”(Muhammad Al-Hilali & Muhsin Khan)

No where this Ayah says Allah saw the hill now see the commentaries.

.

Ibne Kathir commented:

Musnad Imam Ahmad recorded from Anas bin Malik that the Prophet said about Allah’s saying;

(And when his Lord appeared to the mountain, )

(Like this) then he held out the tip of his little finger. At-Tirmidhi recorded this in the chapter of Tafsir for this Ayah, then he said; “This Hadith is Hasan Sahih Gharib.” This was also recorded by Al-Hakim in his Mustadrak through the route of Hamad bin Salamah, and he said; “This Hadith is Sahih according to the criteria of Muslim and they did not record it.” And As-Suddi reported that `Ikrimah reported from Ibn `Abbas about Allah’s saying,

(And when his Lord appeared to the mountain,) Only the extent of the little finger appeared from Him.

Tafsir of Jalal`yan says:

And when his Lord revealed Himself, that is, [when] He manifested of His Light the equivalent of half a nail of a little finger, as stated in one hadīth verified by al-Hākim, to the mountain He leveled it to the ground (end).

So here we can see Allah manifested His Light the equivalent of half a nail of the little finger, and Allah Has Power over Everything.

Agniveer states:

7. Surat-Noor Ayat 35 says that Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche within which is a lamp, the lamp is within glass, the glass as if it were a pearly [white] star lit from [the oil of] a blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow even if untouched by fire. Light upon light. Allah guides to His light whom He wills.

After analyzing countless commentaries, I failed to understand the meaning of this confusing Ayat. But what is important is that Allah is not beyond physical descriptions. What is lamp, glass or olive is beyond comprehension.

Response

First of all which tafsir agniveer studied?? So far he is quoting from the unknown “tafsir husaini”.

Well here is the ayah with commentaries.

[024:035] Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The parable of His Light is as (if there were) a niche and within it a lamp, the lamp is in glass, the glass as it were a brilliant star, lit from a blessed tree, an olive, neither of the east (i.e. neither it gets sun-rays only in the morning) nor of the west (i.e. nor it gets sun-rays only in the afternoon, but it is exposed to the sun all day long), whose oil would almost glow forth (of itself), though no fire touched it. Light upon Light! Allah guides to His Light whom He wills. And Allah sets forth parables for mankind, and Allah is All-Knower of everything.(end) (Muhammad Al-Hilali & Muhsin Khan)

Tafsir Ibne Kathir says:

Ali bin Abi Talhah reported that Ibn `Abbas said:

(Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth.) means, the Guide of the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth. Ibn Jurayj said: “Mujahid and Ibn `Abbas said concerning the Ayah:

(Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth.) He is controlling their affairs and their stars and sun and moon.” As-Suddi said concerning the Ayah:

(Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth.) by His Light the heavens and earth are illuminated. In the Two Sahihs, it is recorded that Ibn `Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, said: “When the Messenger of Allah got up to pray at night, he would say:

(O Allah, to You be praise, You are the Sustainer of heaven and earth and whoever is in them. To You be praise, You are the Light of the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them. ) It was narrated that Ibn Mas`ud said, “There is no night or day with your Lord; the Light of the Throne comes from the Light of His Face.”

(The parable of His Light) There are two views concerning the meaning of the pronoun (His). The first is that it refers to Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, meaning that the parable of His guidance in the heart of the believer is (As a niche) this was the view of Ibn `Abbas.

The second view is that this pronoun refers to the believer, which is indicated by the context of the words and implies that the parable of the light in the heart of the believer is as a niche. So the heart of the believer and what he is naturally inclined to of guidance and what he learns of the Qur’an which is in accordance with his natural inclinations are, as Allah says:

(Can they who rely on a clear proof from their Lord, and whom a witness from Him recite it (can they be equal with the disbelievers))   ﴿  11:17  ﴾  . The heart of the believer in its purity and clarity is likened to a lamp in transparent and jewel-like glass, and the Qur’an and Shari`ah by which it is guided are likened to good, pure, shining oil in which there is no impurity or deviation.

(As (if there were) a niche) Ibn `Abbas, Mujahid, Muhammad bin Ka`b and others said, “This refers to the position of the wick in the lamp.” This is well-known, and hence Allah then says:

(and within it a lamp.) This is the flame that burns brightly. Or it was said that the niche is a niche in the house. This is the parable given by Allah of obedience towards Him. Allah calls obedience to Him as light, then He calls it by other numerous names as well. Ubayy bin Ka`b said, “The lamp is the light, and this refers to the Qur’an and the faith that is in his heart.” As-Suddi said, “It is the lamp.”

(the lamp is in a glass,) means, this light is shining in a clear glass. Ubayy bin Ka`b and others said, “This is the likeness of the heart of the believer.”

(the glass as it were a star Durriyyun,) Some authorities recite the word Durriyyun with a Dammah on the Dal and without a Hamzah, which means pearls, i.e., as if it were a star made of pearls (Durr). Others recite it as Dirri’un or Durri’un, with a Kasrah on the Dal, or Dammah on the Dal, and with a Hamzah at the end, which means reflection (Dir’), because if something is shone on the star it becomes brighter than at any other time. The Arabs call the stars they do not know Darari. Ubayy bin Ka`b said: a shining star. Qatadah said: “Huge, bright and clear.”

(lit from a blessed tree,) means, it is derived from olive oil, from a blessed tree.

(an olive,) This refers to the blessed tree mentioned previously.

(neither of the east nor of the west,) means, it is not in the eastern part of the land so that it does not get any sun in the first part of the day, nor is it in the western part of the land so that it is shaded from the sun before sunset, but it is in a central position where it gets sun from the beginning of the day until the end, so its oil is good and pure and shining. Ibn Abi Hatim recorded that Ibn `Abbas commented on:

(an olive, neither of the east nor of the west,) “This is a tree in the desert which is not shaded by any other tree or mountain or cave, nothing covers it, and this is best for its oil.” Mujahid commented on:

(neither of the east nor of the west, ) saying; “It is not in the east where it will get no sun when the sun sets, nor is it in the west where it will get no sun when the sun rises, but it is in a position where it will get sun both at sunrise and sunset.” Sa`id bin Jubayr commented:

(an olive, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow forth (of itself)) “This is the best kind of oil. When the sun rises it reaches the tree from the east and when it sets it reaches it from the west, so the sun reaches it morning and evening, so it is not counted as being in the east or in the west.”

(whose oil would almost glow forth (of itself), though no fire touched it.) `Abdur-Rahman bin Zayd bin Aslam said (this means) because the oil itself is shining.

(Light upon Light!) Al-`Awfi narrated from Ibn `Abbas that this meant the faith and deeds of a person. As-Suddi said:

(Light upon Light!) “Light of the fire and the light of the oil: when they are combined they give light, and neither of them can give light without the other. Similarly the light of the Qur’an and the light of faith give light when they are combined, and neither can do so without the other.”

(Allah guides to His Light whom He wills.) means, Allah shows the way to the ones whom He chooses, as it says in the Hadith recorded by Imam Ahmad from `Abdullah bin `Amr, who said, “I heard the Messenger of Allah saying:

(Allah created His creation in darkness, then on the same day He sent His Light upon them. Whoever was touched by His Light on that day will be guided and whoever was missed will be led astray. Hence I say: the pens have dried in accordance with the knowledge of Allah, may He be glorified.)”

(And Allah sets forth parables for mankind, and Allah is All-Knower of everything.) Having mentioned this parable of the Light of His guidance in the heart of the believer, Allah ends this Ayah with the words:

(And Allah sets forth parables for mankind, and Allah is All-Knower of everything.) meaning, He knows best who deserves to be guided and who deserves to be led astray. Imam Ahmad recorded that Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri said, “The Messenger of Allah said:

(Hearts are of four kinds: the heart that is clear like a shining lamp; the heart that is covered and tied up; the heart that is upside-down; and the heart that is clad in armor. As for the clear heart, it is the heart of the believer in which is a lamp filled with light; as for the covered heart, this is the heart of the disbeliever; as for the upside-down heart, this is the heart of the hypocrite, who recognizes then denies; as for the armor-clad heart, this is the heart in which there is both faith and hypocrisy. The parable of the faith in it is that of legume, a sprout that is irrigated with good water, and the likeness of the hypocrisy in it is that of sores that are fed by blood and pus. Whichever of the two prevails is the characteristic that will dominate.) Its chain of narrators is good (Jayyid) although they (Al-Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.(end quote from tafsir Ibne Kathir)

I wonder if he read tafsir Ibne Kathir as agniveer said: After analyzing countless commentaries, I failed to understand the meaning of this confusing Ayat.

Agniveer is advised NOT to comment on an ayah which he couldn’t apprehend. This is not sensible to comment on an ayah which is still to b understood.

Agniveer states

8. Surah-Bakr 33 to 39, Surate Airaf 9 to 15, Surate Swad 70 to 78 etc describe Allah’s discussions with Angels, Adam and Satan. Adam was allowed to enter Heaven after lot of lecturing. Angels refused to bow to Adam out of ego but then agreed. Satan refused to bow to Adam because Satan believed that none other than Allah deserves to be bowed. Allah gave time of three days to Satan but he still refused. Then Allah cursed him.

Thus Allah is one who scares, threatens, curses and gives excuses. Thus Allah is not an omnipresent, rational perfect being but an entity limited in scope and subject to whims and moods.

Response

This person need some rest, see the ayahs nowhere any of the ayah says Angels refused to bow to Adam peace be upon him out of ego, these are verses from Al Baqarah

[002:033] He said: “O Adam! Inform them of their names,” and when he had informed them of their names, He said: “Did I not tell you that I know the Ghaib (unseen) in the heavens and the earth, and I know what you reveal and what you have been concealing?”

[002:034] And (remember) when We said to the angels: “Prostrate yourselves before Adam.” And they prostrated except Iblees (Satan), he refused and was proud and was one of the disbelievers (disobedient to Allah).

[002:035] And We said: “O Adam! Dwell you and your wife in the Paradise and eat both of you freely with pleasure and delight of things therein as wherever you will, but come not near this tree or you both will be of the Zalimoon (wrong-doers).”

[002:036] Then the Shaitan (Satan) made them slip therefrom (the Paradise), and got them out from that in which they were. We said: “Get you down, all, with enmity between yourselves. On earth will be a dwelling place for you and an enjoyment for a time.”

[002:037] Then Adam received from his Lord Words. And his Lord pardoned him (accepted his repentance). Verily, He is the One Who forgives (accepts repentance), the Most Merciful.

[002:038] We said: “Get down all of you from this place (the Paradise), then whenever there comes to you Guidance from Me, and whoever follows My Guidance, there shall be no fear on them, nor shall they grieve.

[002:039] But those who disbelieve and belie Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) such are the dwellers of the Fire, they shall abide therein forever.(Muhammad Al-Hilali & Muhsin Khan)

These are ayahs from Al A`raf

[007:009] And as for those whose scale will be light, they are those who will lose their ownselves (by entering Hell) because they denied and rejected Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.).

[007:010] And surely, We gave you authority on the earth and appointed for you therein provisions (for your life). Little thanks do you give.

[007:011] And surely, We created you (your father Adam) and then gave you shape (the noble shape of a human being), then We told the angels, “Prostrate to Adam”, and they prostrated, except Iblees (Satan), he refused to be of those who prostrate.

[007:012] (Allah) said: “What prevented you (O Iblees) that you did not prostrate, when I commanded you?” Iblees said: “I am better than him (Adam), You created me from fire, and him You created from clay.”

[007:013] (Allah) said: “(O Iblees) get down from this (Paradise), it is not for you to be arrogant here. Get out, for you are of those humiliated and disgraced.”

[007:014] (Iblees) said: “Allow me respite till the Day they are raised up (i.e. the Day of Resurrection).”

[007:015] (Allah) said: “You are of those allowed respite.” (Muhammad Al-Hilali & Muhsin Khan)

From surah As Sa`d

[038:070] “Only this has been inspired to me, that I am a plain warner.”

[038:071] (Remember) when your Lord said to the angels: “Truly, I am going to create man from clay”.

[038:072] So when I have fashioned him and breathed into him (his) soul created by Me, then you fall down prostrate to him.”

[038:073] So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them:

[038:074] Except Iblees (Satan) he was proud and was one of the disbelievers.

[038:075] (Allah) said: “O Iblees (Satan)! What prevents you from prostrating yourself to one whom I have created with Both My Hands. Are you too proud (to fall prostrate to Adam) or are you one of the high exalted?”

[038:076] (Iblees (Satan)) said: “I am better than he, You created me from fire, and You created him from clay.”

[038:077] (Allah) said: “Then get out from here, for verily, you are outcast.

[038:078] “And verily! My Curse is on you till the Day of Recompense.” (Muhammad Al-Hilali & Muhsin Khan)

No where any of the ayah mentioned (as he claim) Adam was allowed to enter Heaven after lot of lecturing. Angels refused to bow to Adam out of ego but then agreed.

and agniveer claimed regarding satan:
Satan refused to bow to Adam because Satan believed that none other than Allah deserves to be bowed. Allah gave time of three days to Satan but he still refused.

First of all from where he get that Allah gave time of three days?? 2ndly this bowing is not bowing of worship because worshiping is only for Allah. (This is not the time for detailed discussion on bowing of worship).

Agniveer states
9. Surate Swad 75 has Allah claiming that I made Adam with my two hands. Thus showing that Allah has two hands and hence is a finite person with human form. If the use of ‘two hands’ is merely allegorical, then what is special about Adam. All entities have been built by Allah as per Quran.

Response

When someone doesn’t know about attributes of Allah he should keep quiet, As I already quoted ayah There is nothing like unto him, and I already said someone who matches attributes of Allah with His creation is not a Muslim.

Let us see the Ayah and understandings of Muhadditheen.

[038:075] (Allah) said: “O Iblees (Satan)! What prevents you from prostrating yourself to one whom I have created with Both My Hands. Are you too proud (to fall prostrate to Adam) or are you one of the high exalted?” (Muhammad Al-Hilali & Muhsin Khan)

Imam At-Tirmidhee (d. 279H) said in his Sunan (1/128-129),

It has been stated by more than one person from the People of Knowledge about such ahaadeeth, that there is no tashbeeh (resemblance) to the Attributes of Allaah, and our Lord – the Blessed and Most High – descends to the lowest heaven every night. So they say: “Affirm these narrations, have Eemaan (faith) in them, do not deny them, nor ask how.” The likes of this has been related from Maalik ibn Anas, Sufyaan ath-Thawree, Ibn Uyainah and Abdullaah ibn al-Mubaarak, who all said about such ahaadeeth: “Leave them as they are, without asking how.” …..Ishaaq ibn Ibraheem [ar-Raahawaih] said:

Tashbeeh is if it is said: “Hand like my hand, or similar to my hand”, or it is said: “Hearing like my Hearing, or similar to my hearing”, then this is tashbeeh. But if what is being said is what Allah has said: Hand, Hearing, Seeing and it is not asked how, nor is it said: “Like my hearing, or similar to my hearing” – then it is not tashbeeh. Allaah, the Most Blessed, Most High, said in His Book (ash-Shooraa 42:11): “There is none like unto Him, and he is the all-Hearing, the all-Seeing

Brother Bassam Zawadi quoted in his refutation of another anti Islamic person sam shamoun;

Al Imam al-Dhahabi says:

“Why do you say? A hand in reality is this bodily limb’? Rather, a ‘hand’ is homonym, and it is in accordance with, and of the same category of what it is attributed to. Therefore, if the thing described therewith is an animal then the hand would be a bodily limb. If it were was statue made of brass and stone, the hand would also be of brass and stone. If it were an image drawn on the wall, the hand would be a drawing. If it were that of which neither there is a like, nor it is a body, the hand would also be that of which neither there is a like, nor it is a body”

He also says:

“If it is said: In its conventional usage, a hand only refers to the limb that we all know of. We would say in reply: Similarly, in conventional usage, knowledge, hearing and seeing are only accidents that subsist in bodies. Where, then, is the difference?” (Ithbat al-Yad lilLahi subhanah p. 42-44 by al-Imam al-Dhahabi)

Indeed, the same logic applies to the face and shin and the rest of Allah’s attributes.

We say that Allah has knowledge. However, humans also have knowledge. So are we making Allah similar to His creation? Of course not, How come you might ask? The answer is because God’s knowledge is not like ours (His is infinite and He doesn’t need to acquire it). Therefore, why don’t we remain consistent and say the rest regarding all of Allah’s attributes such as His Hand and Face?

To know more about the inconsistency of those that take some of God’s attributes metaphorically please refer to the following articles.

Agniveer states

10. Surate Shura 51 states that it is impossible for humans except through angels, through curtains and symbols that Allah talks to them.

Now if Allah is within all humans, there should be a mechanism by which Allah talks to them. Why would omnipresent Allah use curtain, symbol or angels?

Tafseer Husaini states explaining this Ayat that Allah talked to Muhammad between two curtains. One curtain was made of white pearls and other was embroidered with precious metals. This means Allah was also limited in space and within the curtains. Hence Islamic Allah is a small creature.

Response

This is the ayah

[026:051] “Verily! We really hope that our Lord will forgive us our sins, as we are the first of the believers (in Moosa (Moses) and in the Monotheism which he has brought from Allah).”(Muhammad Al-Hilali & Muhsin Khan)

Now one can see what the author is saying and what the ayah actually is. Where does this ayah talk about Allah who is with in humans or talks to humans through curtains or angels?? I don’t know from where he is getting this material. This ayah doesn’t say a word about curtain or angels.

And please what is this tafsir hussaini and who is its author , please mention and give source of this tafsir as this is the unknown text and no muslim likes to quote from an unclear , unknown reference which itself is not in accordance with Islamic rules and Islamic knowledge.

Agniveer states

Surate Nisa 64 states that Rasul (Muhammad) has come with true facts and hence he should be believed. Even Rasul has talked to Allah through curtain, symbols or angels. Thus there is a likelihood that Rasul has also been subject to confusion, since he did not directly witness Allah.

And that Allah becomes a finite entity not already present within all humans including Rasul.

Response

This is what the concerned ayah says;

[004:064] We sent no Messenger, but to be obeyed by Allah’s Leave. If they (hypocrites), when they had been unjust to themselves, had come to you (Muhammad SAW) and begged Allah’s Forgiveness, and the Messenger had begged forgiveness for them: indeed, they would have found Allah All-Forgiving (One Who accepts repentance), Most Merciful. (Muhammad Al-Hilali & Muhsin Khan)

I don’t know what is he concluding from this ayah?? It is simply about those munafiqeen (hypocrites) or Specific Jew at the time of Prophet Peace be upon him (see commentary of Muhammad bin Jareer Tabree under this ayah).

And who says ALLAH is in rasool s.a.w.w or in any human being? From where has the author learnt this regarding islam? Within humans, there is a soul, and no ALLAH. The author(agniveer) needs to, first, clarify is basics of islam before writing and jumping into religious debates.

Agniveer states

11. Surate Fazar 22 claims that Allah will come alongwith angels in a queue during doomsday. Now obviously this coming of Allah is physical. Because if this implies coming of Allah in hearts, how can he come in hearts of the sinners whose heart is still dirty? And if the hearts of sinners are purified, why send them to Hell?

Further Ayats detail that Hell is on left side of Allah’s throne and Heaven on right side. Thus there is no doubt that the Allah of Quran is a finite sized person.

Response

This is Surah Al Fajr (not Fazar) ayah 22;

[89:22] And your Lord comes with the angels in rows.

Tafsir of Jalalayn says:

And your Lord, that is to say, His command, and the angels arrive rank on rank (saffan saffan is a circumstantial qualifier, meaning ‘standing in rows’ or ‘made up of many ranks’),

So this is regarding his Command

Tafsir Ibne Kathir says:

(And your Lord comes) meaning, for the session of Judgment between His creatures. This is after they requested the best of the Sons of Adam – Muhammad(SAW) — to intercede with Allah. This will occur only after they have requested the other great Messengers, one after another. Yet, all of them will say, “I cannot do that for you.” This will continue until the beseeching of the men reaches Muhammad (SAW), and He will say, “I will do it, I will do it.” So He will go and seek to intercede with Allah as the session of Judgment will have come, and Allah will allow him to intercede for that (the Judgment). This will be the first of the intercessions, and it is the praiseworthy station that has already been discussed in Surat Subhan (Al-Isra’). So Allah will come for the session of Judgment as He wills, and the angels will also come, lined up in rows upon rows before Him.(end)

The bottom line is Allah has power over all things and he will come as he wills and which suits His Majesty, We cannot match Him with His creation. agniveer states that Further ayats detail that Hell is on left side of Allah’s throne and Heaven on right side.

Where does these ayahs say that? see ayah no: 20 to 30

[089:020] And you love wealth with much love!

[089:021] Nay! When the earth is ground to powder,

[089:022] And your Lord comes with the angels in rows,

[089:023] And Hell will be brought near that Day. On that Day will man remember, but how will that remembrance (then) avail him?

[089:024] He will say: “Alas! Would that I had sent forth (good deeds) for (this) my life!”

[089:025] So on that Day, none will punish as He will punish.

[089:026] And none will bind as He will bind.

[089:027] (It will be said to the pious): “O (you) the one in (complete) rest and satisfaction!

[089:028] “Come back to your Lord, Well-pleased (yourself) and well-pleasing unto Him!

[089:029] “Enter you, then, among My honoured slaves,

[089:030] “And enter you My Paradise!” (Muhammad Al-Hilali & Muhsin Khan)

Agniveer states

12. Some may claim that these verses have deep meanings that we cannot understand. If that be so, then the entire purpose of sending Quran is futile. Because already there were so many messages of Allah present. What is the point of sending a last and final message that is so confusing and impossible for humans to understand in one birth?

Response

Already replied above (smile), response of his accusations against Qu`ran is completed Alhumdulillah.

Agniveer states

The concept of Ishwar in Vedas, the first text of humankind is significantly different. And that is why the Allah of Quran is not same as Ishwar of Vedas.

Response

He claimed that Vedas are first text of human kind which is nothing but a mere claim and even if true then we say it is corrupted. And author is asked to PROVE that Vedas are the first text of human kind. Hope in the next article author will prove this.

3) Replying Agniveer’s 7 points on the concept of God in Vedas (a) to (g).

Agniveer states
a. Ishwar is omnipresent and shapeless. Refer Yajurved 40.8.

First thing,Yajurved Samitha has two recessions  1) Shukla Yajurved and 2) Krishna Yajurved, Krishna Yajurved is older one, Agniveer is giving refrence from Shukla Yajurved, he should mention this.

Proof about Ishwar not omnipresent and being in his heavenly house

Rig Veda Mandal 8; Sukt 13; Mantra 2

In his expansive heavenly mansion, is the location of Ishwar, he who brings success,

Most glorious, prompt to save, who wins the water-floods.

a

The sanskrit word used for heavenly location is VYOMAN SADNAY and swamiji says that “Ishwar vyapak bhavan mein stith hokar”.Now I will give you individual meaning of the hindi words.

व्यापक = expansive, broad, wide
भवन = castle, mansion, premises, house, building
स्थित = located, situated, set, placed
now if you want to say that verse say this then it will be contrary to this verse

Now I will show you from your Veda that Ishwar has form and body. Also I will show you the deception of Swami Dayanand Saraswati when he left 12 words untranslated which said Ishwar has a body. I will also show you how Swamiji changes translation to suit is theological understanding that Ishwar is formless.
Let me first show you how Swamiji has consistently translated the sanskrit word AGNI as “Ishwar” or “parmeshwar” everywhere. I will give only 2 samples so that it doesn’t become too long. See the images below

b

1

In both the above images Swamiji has translated AGNI as “Hey Parmeshwar” “O Ishwar” The references for the above images are: Yajur Veda Adhyay 1; Mantra 17 and 18

Now see the image below

c

Here Swamiji left 12 words untranslated. You know why? Read carefully what it says. You and Arya Samaj believe that Ishwar is Niraakaar (formless) but the Mantra was saying

AGNI = Ishwar
TANU = embodied
ASI = is/has
It is saying Ishwar has a form/ body

Let us move forward. There is another place in Yajur Veda where the same above words have been used. The very first Mantra of 5th Adhyay of Yajur Veda,i.e., Yajur Veda Adhyay 5; Mantra 1

See the image below. Here fortunately Swamiji has not taken out words but unfortunately has mistranslated it. See below

d

Here Swamiji has broken his own rule. The same word Agni appears here also, but he mistranslated it as
बिजुली प्रसिद्ध रूप अग्नि के शरीर समान है
while as the correct translation as per Swamijis own rules is.
AGNI = Ishwar
TANU = body
शरीर
ASI = is/has है

So the Mantra is saying परमेश्वर शरीर धारी है “parmeshwar shareer dhaari hai”. Ishwar has a body/form.

you say Ishwar of Vedas is omnipresent and formless but The above evidence shows an opposite picture

Agniveer states:

b. There is no throne of Ishwar because He is already present everywhere.

Response:

Rig Veda mandal 10; sukt 129; mantra 9

“He, the first origin of this creation, whether he formed it all or did not form it,
Whose eye controls this world he in highest heaven, he verily knows it, or perhaps he knows not.”

e

This is what ved says and agniveer is contradicting this statement

Agniveer states

c. Ishwar does not need to send messengers, angels, symbols or curtains to talk to humans. Ishwar communicates with all souls through inspiration. Whenever we do a right act, we get a feeling of satisfaction, enthusiasm or bliss. When we do something wrong, we get a feeling of fear, doubt or shame. This is the way Ishwar communicates with all souls.

Response:

This is mere statement of agniveer who is not authority, even if this is true then he said Ishwar communicates will all souls, then tell us how many hindus and christians and Muslims and atheists and all others communicated with God?? And he said (Whenever we do a right act, we get a feeling of satisfaction, enthusiasm or bliss. When we do something wrong, we get a feeling of fear, doubt or shame.) Tell us who is to decide what is right and what is wrong?? Maybe for me what is right is wrong for you and what is right for you are wrong for me, for example some people tease others and according to them it is right to tease but according to some people teasing is not right thing, who is to decide that what is wrong and what is right?? By your logic people will understand that god told teaser through inspiration that teasing is right and same God told the one who is against teaser that Teasing is wrong

Regarding your objection to using the angel as medium of communication. This is God’s prerogative. He can choose whatever way He sees fit and doesn’t need counsel from you. He is the Most Wise and your shortsightedness stands nowhere before God’s knowledge and Wisdom.
Nowhere did Muslims ever say that God talks as we humans talk. God communicates in our human language coz that is the only language we understand.

In Islam Allah knows everything but is separate from the creation and above His creation. He is not the creation. Thus your conception is incorrect since you claim that God is in you and me. Let me correct your fallacies. All creatures do not have eyes and ears. So do you mean they do not know their surroundings? Many creatures use so many diverse methods of communication. Human talking is only one form of communication. If you say God communicates, then I would ask you that are you not ascribing animal qualities to God, since animals, insects, etc communicate as well?

I hope you realize the fallacies of your arguments and come to the truth of Islam.

Agniveer states:

d. Those in direction of Ishwar follow this language of Ishwar and develop mastery over the tendencies of their minds. Thus the signals of Ishwar become clearer and clearer. In perfect form, the knowledge of Vedas is revealed. In reality the Vedas are already within us. However through efforts, we have to get rid of ignorance to illuminate the Vedas.

Response:

This is a lie that Vedas are within us, ask any one he will never say ved is in me, at least Vedas is not within me, 2ndly he atleast agreed God of ved has direction and there is also language of Ishwar.

The problem with Hinduism is that you philosophize everything, which ultimately is harmful for you. Islam is simply revelation based and we do not philosophize coz we do not need to. Islam is simple and easy to understand unlike the philosophical conundrums of Hinduism.

Agniveer states

e. There is no heaven or hell as per Vedas. He neither punishes or rewards in Islamic sense. He simply creates opportunities for soul for its further progress as per the tendencies of mind which are further determined by our thoughts, words and actions.

Response

Paradise ‘Swarga’ in the Vedas:
1. ‘Swarg’ i.e. Paradise, is described in several places in the Vedas including: “May all these streams of butter, with their banks of honey, flowing with distilled water, and milk and curds and water reach thee in domestic life enhancing thy pleasure. May thou acquire completely these things strengthening the soul in diverse ways. Having pools of clarified butter, stocks of sweet honey, and having exhilarating drinks for water, full of milk and curds, may all these streams flow to us in the world of happiness swelling sweetly. May our lakes full of lotuses be situated near us.”
(Atharva Ved: 4: 34: 6)

f

2. “Bereft of physical bodies, pure, cleansed with the wind, brilliant, they go to a brilliant world. The fire does not cause burning in their male organ. In the world of happiness they get plenty of women. (Atharva Ved: 4: 34: 2)

g

Your statement is contrary to vedas itself how much lie will you say
If there is no heaven and hell no reward and punishment then it is good for Rapist and lairs and theif and all others, Hitler killed millions of people no punishment for him, on the other hand Their is true concept of punishment and rewards after death and Allah can punish bad people not once but millions of times.

Agniveer states

f. Vedas do not believe that Ishwar suddenly created souls. Vedas state that the soul, nature and Ishwar are eternal and always present. And thus creation of universe, its maintenance and destruction are natural eternal properties of Ishwar. Hence the allegation of whimsicalness, moodiness etc do not come on Ishwar.

Response:

He should provide refrences not just mere statements, what reply we can give to him who is not even authority?? he said soul and ishwar are always present, then where is his soul?? is it present with me?? of where are souls of all hindus?? all are present?? This is very weired concept

about moodiness see this

Proof about Ishwar’s anger

Atharva Veda kand 11; sukt 2; Mantra 20.
“Injure us not, interpose for us, spare us, be not angry with us! Let us not contend with thee!”

h

Agniveer states

g. More importantly, since Ishwar is perfect, there is no need for Him to keep sending new amendments of his message every now and then. He simply communicates the eternal Vedas during inception of civilization and then continues to guide us through inspiration, as discussed above.

Response

Allah never changed the basic rule that is THERE IS NO ILAH(WORTHY OF WORSHIP) EXCEPT ALLAH, but he changed minor rules for example at the time of Adam peace be upon him marraige between brother and sister was allowed but in Shariyah of Muhammad peace be upon him it is Prohibited.

2ndly if Ved is perfect then it says

i

besides the above reference showing you that Ishwar is not everywhere, it also is a question for you. This verse is confused about who created the creation and whether Ishwar knows all or not. So this verse is in an agnostic tone. coz this verse is not sure if Ishwar knows all or not.

is this ishwar PERFECT

Agniveer states

It seems that Muhammad wanted to convey this true nature of Ishwar, to best of his limited abilities crippled by his lack of education and epileptic disorder. However, due to conspiracy of his close mates, and his own ignorance to some extent, a defective quran was propagated after his death.

Response

This is again a mere claim and lie from agniveer, I already provided the link of The Compilation of the Quran in this article above see that again.

Agniveer states

Thus there are two Allah in Islam. One Allah is that of the Vedas and other is the limited defective Allah as explained above.

Response

Qur`an says in Surah Ikhlas 112:1-4

Say: He is Allah, the One and Only! Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not nor is He begotten. And there is none like unto Him.

So Allah is only one and he is not defective in any way Alhumdulillah.

.

Agniveer states

Muslims would serve the true cause of Allah if they reject the defective Allah and embrace the true Ishwar of Vedas who is omnipresent, omnipotent and unchangeable.

Response:

Muslims and those who have little intellect will never accept the God who has many, many arms, bellies, mouths and eyes in his body as explained above from hindu texts. Allah is only one and Allah is your lord, our lord and lord of all the worlds their is no Ilah accept Allah.

MAY ALLAH SAVE US FROM DECIEVING AMEEN

Conclusion:

Agniveer lied in whole of his article even in hinduism he don’t know the true concept of God.

Agniveer states:

However if we dwell into the modern Quran, we can witness an Allah which has a shape and size. This is in sharp contradiction to the established concept of Allah and hint at either there being tampering with original Quran or that Quran is not the final word of either Muhammad or Allah.

Response:

What does he mean by Modern Qur`an?? The Qur`an never changed, it is the same as it was 1400 years ago, Alhumdu`lillah, Holy Qura’an says;

Muhammad Al-Hilali & Muhsin Khan:

[015:009] Verily We: It is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Quran) and surely, We will guard it (from corruption).

Check this link, “The Compilation of the Quran” (from kids corner of website because author don’t even know basics)

http://www.islamweb.net/kidsen/kids%20corner%201,2/subjects/gam3elkoraan1.html

Agniveer then splits article in to two parts

1) Concept of Allah in Qur`an (Accusations against Qu`ran in which he presented 12 points)

2) Concept of hindu (Ishwar) in Vedas (Praises for Vedas in which he presented 7 points from (a) to (g))

Replying Author’s 12 points against Qur`an

Agniveer states:

1. Surate Yunis, Ayat 6 states that Allah created the sky and earth in 6 days and then settled at the top in his throne.

Response:

This is utter lie because this is what Allah says in SURAH YUNUS (not Yunis)

Muhammad Al-Hilali & Muhsin Khan:

[010:006] Verily, in the alternation of the night and the day and in all that Allah has created in the heavens and the earth are Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) for those people who keep their duty to Allah, and fear Him much.

So, it is clearly seen that what the ayah says and what the author claimed about the ayah are two way different things?? I believe he just copied and pasted or he is willingly trying to deceive.

Religion Demystified

The artice is divided into 3 parts:

(Part 1) Demystifying Religion in True sense

(Part 2) Refuting the false and wrong informations given by Agniveer about Islam in his article.

(Part 3) Response to points raised about Eastern religion and Miscellaneous Religions

[PART 1]: Demystifying Religion in True sense

After going through Agniveer’s article, I found the need to really Demystify Religion in Real sense critically.

‘Religion’ what it actually means ?

The word religion is sometimes used interchangeably with faith or belief system, but religion differs from private belief in that it has a public aspect.

A religion, if it has to be from our Creator, Almighty God, it has to be universal and not bound and based to any ‘Man’, ‘Place’, ‘Region’ and it cannot have any other founder except our Creator, Almighty God. It has to be a natural disposition. A natural realization, a natural instinct, a natural bond between us and our creator, which has to exist from the time the first man stepped on this world. It can not be founded later on.

As soon as We begin to describe any religion as ‘the religion of the Hindus or Muslims’, or ‘the religion following the teachings of so and so’, or ‘the religion founded by so and so, except the True God’, or ‘the religion founded so many years back’ we introduces a category which does not fit, the category of ‘religion’.

Having said this, let us look at some of the major religions and their possibilities of being the universal religion from Our creator.

HinduismAccording to Agniveer, Hinduism is the collection of Easterly Religion. It is a blanket term for an assortment of religious beliefs whose founders were supposed to be exalted souls who realized truth in their own way. (See Agniveer’s same article under the heading Easterly Religion/Hinduism point (a)). It’s a Strange fact, but True, that even Agniveer believes that their so called religion was founded by exalted souls, and Not by our Creator, Almighty God.

‘Hindu’ is actually a Persian word that stands for the inhabitants of the region beyond the Indus Valley. Thus it is also cultural and region specific and hence cannot be a universal religion, existing from time immemorial.

Christianity = Christianity (from the Greek word Xριστός, Khristos, “Christ”, literally “anointed one”) is a (supposedly) monotheistic religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth as presented in the New Testament.

Here again we find that this religion is based on the teachings of a ‘Man’ and hence Not founded by our Creator, Almighty God. People before Christ were not christians. Hence we find this is time specific religion.

Sikhism = Sikhism is a monotheistic religion founded in the fifteenth century Punjab on the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and ten successive Sikh Gurus (the last one being the sacred text Guru Granth Sahib Ji)
Same as above. Founded in the 15th century and based on the teachings of mortal ‘Men’, so it can not be a religion of God, because religion of God has to exist from the beginning.

A Sikh is a disciple of the Guru (Guru Nanak and 10 successive Gurus). Again it is a person specific religion.

Buddhism = Buddhism is a religion and philosophy encompassing a variety of traditions, beliefs and practices, largely based on teachings attributed to Siddhartha Gautama, commonly known as the Buddha (Pāli/Sanskrit “the awakened one”). The Buddha lived and taught in the northeastern Indian subcontinent some time between the 6th and 4th centuries BCE. Indigenous sources use terms like Dharma (‘the Law’), Buddha-dharma (‘Buddhist doctrine’), Buddha-śāsana (‘teachings of the Buddha’) and Buddhavacana (‘the word of the Buddha’).

Same as above. A follower of Gautam Buddha, would be called a Buddhist. It is ‘Person’ specific.

Jainism = Jainism is an Indian religion that prescribes a path of non-violence towards all living beings. Its philosophy and practice emphasize the necessity of self-effort to move the soul towards divine consciousness and liberation. Jain Religion is not an apauruseya religion, i.e., a religion propounded by a non-human being or based on a sacred book of non-human origin. On the contrary it is a religion of purely human origin and is preached by one who has attained omniscience and self-control by his own personal efforts. In short, Jain Religion is the substance of the preaching of those perfect souls who have attained the state of Jainas.

Again it is clearly, a religion not by Our Creator, Almighty God and is also not a religion which existed since time immemorial.

Zoroastrianism = Zoroastrianism is a religion and philosophy based on the teachings of prophet Zoroaster (also known as Zarathustra, in Avestan). It was probably founded some time before the 6th century B.C. in Persia (Iran).

Same as above. It is quite interesting to note that If many teachings and concepts within the Vedas are similar to those of Zoroastrian religion, and hence it is not surprising enough to conclude that Vedic Religion has been derived from Zoroastrianism, because the Parsis (Zoroastrians) consider their religion older than the Vedic Religion

Islam = The word إسلام Islām is derived from Arabic triconsonantal root sīn-lām-mīm (SLM [ س ل م ])., meaning “submission” (i.e. entrusting one’s wholeness to the only one and True God). “One who submits” is signified by the participle مسلم, Muslim (fem. مسلمة, muslimah).
We Muslims refer to our creator, Almighty God with the name “Allah”

This religion is not bound to any person, place, region, space etc and is neither defined in terms of these restrictions and limits contrary to the literal meanings of the various world’s major religions. This religion is not bound to anything except Our Creator.

Then which is actually the True Religion ?

For what does ‘Religion’ now mean to the occidental? At best, for the ordinary man, it means a way of spending an hour or so on Sundays in practices which give him some support and strength in dealing with the problems of daily life, and which encourages him to be friendly towards other persons and to maintain the standards of sexual propriety; it has little or nothing to do with commerce or economics or politics or industrial relationships. At worst it fosters an attitude of complacency in the more prosperous individuals and breeds smugness.

Some people may even look at religion as an opiate developed by exploiters of the common people in order to keep them in subjection. How different from the connotations to the Muslim of the verse (3:19): ‘the true religion with God is submitting yourself to God (Islam)!’ The word translated as ‘religion’ is Deen, which, in Arabic, commonly refers to a whole way of life.

It is not a private matter for individuals, touching only the periphery of their lives, but something which is both private and public, something which permeates the whole fabric of society in a way of which men are conscious. It is all in one theological dogma, forms of worship, political theory, and a detailed code of conduct, including even matters which the European would classify as hygiene or etiquette.

The universatality of the religion of ‘Submitting to Our Creator’ is quite obvious and this is the only religion which is universal in nature.

Thus after going through only the literal definition of the various major world religions, it is quite obvious that religion has to be something from our one and only creator and also Universal not bound to any limits and that only religion living upto it’s definition is Islam (Submitting to Our Creator).

Given Below is the definition of a True Religion which is right and straight mentioned in the Qur’an and which is a universal definition and no one can object to that.

  • Qur’an 12:40 “You do not worship besides Him but only names which you have named (forged), you and your fathers, for which Allah has sent down no authority. The command (or the judgement) is for none but Allah. He has commanded that you worship none but Him (i.e. His Monotheism), that is the (true) straight religion, but most men know not.
  • Qur’an 30:30 – So set you (O Muhammad SAW) your face towards the religion of pure Islamic Monotheism Hanifa (worship none but Allah Alone) Allahs Fitrah (i.e. Allahs Islamic Monotheism), with which He has created mankind. No change let there be in Khalqillah (i.e. the Religion of Allah Islamic Monotheism), that is the straight religion, but most of men know not. (Tafsir AtTabaree, Vol 21, Page 41)
  • Qur’an 98:5 – And they were commanded not, but that they should worship Allah, and worship none but Him Alone (abstaining from ascribing partners to Him), and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and give Zakat: and that is the religion Right and Straight.

Muslim :: Book 33 : Hadith 6425

Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: No child is born but upon Fitra. He then said. Recite: The nature made by Allah in which He created man, there is no altering of Allah’s nature; that is the right religion.”

Sahih Muslim :: Book 33 : Hadith 6426

Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: No babe is born but upon Fitra. It is his parents who make him a Jew or a Christian or a Polytheist. A person said: Allah’s Messenger, what is your opinion if they were to die before that (before reaching the age of adolescence when they can distinguish between right and wrong)? He said: It is Allah alone Who knows what they would be doing.

Allah says in The Qur’an in Chapter 3 verse 73

﴿قُلْ إِنَّ الْهُدَى هُدَى اللَّهِ﴾

(Say: (O Prophet) “Verily, right guidance is the guidance of Allah.”)

Can we say that My Religion is better than yours and more Superior?

Absolutely No. Neither can a Jew argue by saying that `Our Book is the best Book and our Prophet (Musa) is the best Prophet. ‘

Nor can a Christian argue like that and neither can any follower of Islam argue by saying, `There is no religion except Islam, our Book has abrogated every other Book, our Prophet is the Final Prophet.

Allah says in the Qur’an in Chapter 4 verses 123-124:

It will not be in accordance with your desires (Muslims), nor those of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), whosoever works evil, will have the recompense thereof, and he will not find any protector or helper besides Allah.

And whoever does righteous good deeds, male or female, and is a true believer in the Oneness of Allah (Muslim), such will enter Paradise and not the least injustice, even to the size of a Naqeera (speck on the back of a datestone), will be done to them.

Qatadah said, “We were told that the Muslims and the People of the Scriptures mentioned their own virtues to each other. People of the Scriptures said, `Our Prophet came before your Prophet and our Book before your Book. Therefore, we should have more right to Allah than you have.’ Muslims said, `Rather, we have more right to Allah than you, our Prophet is the Final Prophet and our Book supersedes all the Books before it.’ Allah sent down,

﴿لَّيْسَ بِأَمَـنِيِّكُمْ وَلا أَمَانِىِّ أَهْلِ الْكِتَـبِ مَن يَعْمَلْ سُوءًا يُجْزَ بِهِ﴾

(It will not be in accordance with your desires (Muslims), nor those of the People of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), whosoever works evil, will have the recompense thereof),

﴿وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ دِيناً مِمَّنْ أَسْلَمَ وَجْهَهُ لله وَهُوَ مُحْسِنٌ﴾

(And who can be better in religion than one who submits his face (himself) to Allah; and he is a Muhsin.) Allah then supported the argument of the Muslims against their opponents of the other religions.” Similar statements were attributed to As-Suddi, Masruq, Ad-Dahhak and Abu Salih. Al-`Awfi reported that Ibn `Abbas commented on this Ayah ﴿4:123﴾, “The followers of various religions disputed, the people of the Tawrah said, `Our Book is the best Book and our Prophet (Musa) is the best Prophet. ‘ The people of the Injil said similarly, the people of Islam said, `There is no religion except Islam, our Book has abrogated every other Book, our Prophet is the Final Prophet, and you were commanded to believe in your Books and adhere to our Book.’ Allah judged between them, saying,

﴿لَّيْسَ بِأَمَـنِيِّكُمْ وَلا أَمَانِىِّ أَهْلِ الْكِتَـبِ مَن يَعْمَلْ سُوءًا يُجْزَ بِهِ﴾

(It will not be in accordance with your desires, nor those of the People of the Scripture, whosoever works evil, will have the recompense thereof).” This Ayah indicates that the religion is not accepted on account of wishful thinking or mere hopes. Rather, the accepted religion relies on what resides in the heart and which is made truthful through actions. It is not true that when one utters a claim to something, he attains it merely on account of his claim. It is not true that every person who claims to be on the truth is considered as such, merely on account of his words, until his claim gains merit with proof from Allah. Hence Allah’s statement,

﴿لَّيْسَ بِأَمَـنِيِّكُمْ وَلا أَمَانِىِّ أَهْلِ الْكِتَـبِ مَن يَعْمَلْ سُوءًا يُجْزَ بِهِ﴾

(It will not be in accordance with your desires, nor those of the People of the Scripture, whosoever works evil, will have the recompense thereof), meaning safety will not be acquired by you or them just by wishful thinking. Rather, the key is in obeying Allah and following what He has legislated through the words of His honorable Messengers. This is why Allah said afterwards,

﴿مَن يَعْمَلْ سُوءًا يُجْزَ بِهِ﴾

(whosoever works evil, will have the recompense thereof,) Similarly, Allah said,

(So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom, shall see it. And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom, shall see it.)

﴿وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ دِيناً مِمَّنْ أَسْلَمَ وَجْهَهُ لله﴾

(And who can be better in religion than one who submits his face to Allah.) meaning, performs the good actions in sincerity for his Lord with faith and awaiting the reward with Allah,

﴿وَهُوَ مُحْسِنٌ﴾

(and he is a Muhsin) following the correct guidance that Allah legislated in the religion of truth which He sent His Messenger with. These are the two conditions, in the absence of which no deed will be accepted from anyone; sincerity and correctness. The work is sincere when it is performed for Allah alone and it becomes correct when it conforms to the Shari`ah. So, the deed becomes outwardly correct with following the Sunnah and inwardly correct with sincerity. When any deed lacks either of these two conditions, the deed becomes null and void.

God chose only One way of life for all of Us, the way of submitting our will to Him.

Allah says to this Ummah in The Qur’an 42:13:

﴿شَرَعَ لَكُم مِّنَ الِدِينِ مَا وَصَّى بِهِ نُوحاً وَالَّذِى أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْكَ﴾

(He (Allah) has ordained for you the same religion which He ordained for Nuh, and that which We have revealed to you,) Allah mentions the first Messenger who was sent after Adam, that is, Nuh, peace be upon them, and the last of them is Muhammad . Then He mentions those who came in between them who were the Messengers of strong will, namely Ibrahim, Musa and `Isa bin Maryam. This Ayah mentions all five, just as they are also mentioned in the Ayah in Surat Al-Ahzab, where Allah says:

﴿وَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا مِنَ النَّبِيِّيْنَ مِيثَاقَهُمْ وَمِنْكَ وَمِن نُّوحٍ وَإِبْرَهِيمَ وَمُوسَى وَعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ﴾

(And (remember) when We took from the Prophets their covenant, and from you, and from Nuh, Ibrahim, Musa, and `Isa son of Maryam.) (33:7).

Why do we need Messenger’s or Prophets?

The messenger’s duty is only to convey the message of Our Creator and this is mentioned in several places in the Qur’an

  • Qur’an 24:54 –  ….If you obey him (the messenger), you shall be on the right guidance. The Messengers duty is only to convey (the message) in a clear way (i.e. to preach in a plain way).”
  • Qur’an 13:40 –  (your duty is only to convey and on Us is the reckoning)
  • Qur’an 24:54 –  The Messenger’s duty is only to convey in a clear way)
  • Qur’an 88:21-22 –  (So remind them — you are only one who reminds. You are not a dictator over them.)

Did different Prophets/Messengers preach different things?

The Message which all the Messengers brought was to worship Allah Alone, with no partner or associate, as Allah says:

﴿وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ مِن رَّسُولٍ إِلاَّ نُوحِى إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهُ لا إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ أَنَاْ فَاعْبُدُونِ ﴾

(And We did not send any Messenger before you but We revealed to him (saying): None has the right to be worshipped but I, so worship Me.) (21:25).

And according to a Hadith (the Prophet said):

«نَحْنُ مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ أَوْلَادُ عَلَّاتٍ، دِينُنَا وَاحِد»

(We Prophets are brothers and our religion is one.) In other words, the common bond between them is that Allah Alone is to be worshipped, with no partner or associate, even though their laws and ways may differ, as Allah says.

﴿لِكُلٍّ جَعَلْنَا مِنكُمْ شِرْعَةً وَمِنْهَـجاً﴾

(To each among you, We have prescribed a law and a clear way) (5:48).

How then did so many Religions come to evolve?

In the very Next verse (The Qur’an 42:14Allah says ;

﴿وَمَا تَفَرَّقُواْاللَّهِ إِلاَّ مَنبَعْدِ مَا جَآءَهُمُ الْعِلْمُ﴾

(And they divided not till after knowledge had come to them,) means, their opposition to the truth arose after it had come to them and proof had been established against them. Nothing made them resist in this manner except their transgression and stubbornness.

How come then that all religion preach goodness?

As already mentioned, different religions evolved from the same root Islam, due to the transgression, stubbornness, desires and group leadership of some so called spiritual people.

Since there had been from the very beginning, the only religion of submitting to God, it is obvious that all the different religions which came will have traits of goodness from the original religion.

It’s similitude is like a barrel of Pure water (Islam) having various qualities, from which many different people took a bottle of and mixed their own motive, desires, etc in it and presented it in the form of a new religion. Hence it is obvious that these different bottles had some mixtures of good water in them, like different religions have some goodness. But the bottle did not have the same original pure water.

Similarly all religions though they preach goodness yet are not the same fully. They have been distorted from the same one religion of ‘Submitting to God’.

We need to take water from the Pure Barrel, not from the bottles containing mixture.

All religions basically teach followers to do good deeds. Why should a person only follow Islam? Can he not follow any of the religions?

As already mentioned, we should follow that which is pure, which is from God, which is without any mixture rather than following the one which has been mixed with various things including desire, malpractices, profits etc.

Was Islam a Revelation of Allah?

with one comment

Assalaamu ‘alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barkatahu to our Muslim Ummah and a Warm Welcome to all Seekers of True Knowledge.

This Article is in reply to the article in Anti Islamic website agniveer.com with title,

Was Islam a Revelation of Allah?

Article is available here: http://agniveer.com/2117/revelation-allah/

Refutation by Brother Kashif & Brother Md. Zeeshan Akhtar

——————————————————————————————————————————————————

Agniveer states:

A logical analysis of the claim of Islam being final and only revelation of Allah by Vixter – an active member of Agniveer site:

We often hear the followers of Mian Zakir Naik claiming that Islam has not come into existence 1400 years ago, but it has been there since time memorial. They also say that Islam was not founded by Muhammad rather it is there from the day when Adam and Eve were sent down to earth. But when they are asked that if Islam has nothing to do with Muhammad, why is it necessary to believe in Muhammad and include him in the prayers alongside Allah, they run away saying Allah knows the best and Muhammad is his final messenger!

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Response:

In The Name Of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Brother Vixter (the author of the article on Agniveer), you seriously need to go through the definition and the basics of Islam.

This is not a claim of the followers of  Zakir Naik (HafizUllah) but of all the Muslims, that Islam has been there since time immemorial.

All the Muslims believe that Islam is not a new religion, and Prophet Muhammad (s) is the last messenger of God.

Lissan al-Arab, one of the most authoritative lexicons of the Arabic language, mentions that the word ‘Islam’ is derived from the root verb istaslama (استسلاما); which means ‘to submit’ or ‘give in’ or ‘surrender’

The word إسلام Islām is derived from Arabic triconsonantal root sīn-lām-mīm (SLM [ س ل م ])., meaning “submission” (i.e. entrusting one’s wholeness to the only one and True God). “One who submits” is signified by the participle مسلم, Muslim (fem. مسلمة, muslimah).

The Book of Faith (Kitab Al-Iman)  Muslim :: Book 1 : Hadith 6

……In the meanwhile a man came there, and sat near his knees and said: Messenger of Allah, what al-lslam is? -to which he (the Holy Prophet) replied: You must not associate anything with Allah, and establish prayer, pay the poor-rate (Zakat) and observe (the fasts) of Ramadan. He said: You (have) told the truth.

Your claim is full of ignorance that Islam has nothing to do with Prophet Muhammad (s)  then why it is necessary to believe in him?

This verse of the Glorious Quran is a Proof for this :

It is not Al-Birr (piety, righteousness, and each and every act of obedience to Allâh, etc.) that you turn your faces towards east and (or) west (in prayers); but Al-Birr is (the quality of) the one who believes in Allâh, the Last Day, the Angels, the Book, the Prophets and gives his wealth, in spite of love for it, to the kinsfolk, to the orphans, and to Al-Masâkin (the poor), and to the wayfarer, and to those who ask, and to set slaves free, performs As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât), and gives the Zakât, and who fulfill their covenant when they make it, and who are patient in extreme poverty and ailment (disease) and at the time of fighting (during the battles). Such are the people of the truth and they are Al Muttaqûn (pious – see V.2:2) (Al Qur’an 2:177)

Moreover, see this Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)

The Book of Faith (Kitab Al-Iman)  Muslim :: Book 1 : Hadith 6

…….He (again) said: Messenger of Allah, what al-Iman (the faith) is?

He (the Holy Prophet) said: That you affirm your faith in Allah, His angels, His Books, His meeting, His Apostles, and that you believe in Resurrection and that you believe in Qadr (Divine Decree) in all its entirety, He (the inquirer) said: You (have) told the truth.

Islam has everything to do with not only Muhammad (peace be upon him), but also Jesus (peace be upon him), Moses (peace be upon him), till Adam (peace be upon him) because it is one of the most important article of faith. The basic of Islam is to believe and worship only One and True God, without associating any partners with him. To establish prayer (though the complete  manner of praying may not have been the same all throughout from the time of Adam (peace be upon him), but the most important portion- the Prostration, remained there), To pay the poor Zakat (though the minimum amount (nisaab) which a person may have had in order to pay the zakat and the rate of zakat may have differed, but the basic principle of giving in order to help the poor remained the same all throughout), and to observe the Fasts.

It is necessary for us Muslims to believe in Muhammad (peace be upon him), because it is equally necessary for us Muslims, to believe in all the Prophets and messengers of Allah.

We, True Muslims, don’t pray to Muhammad (peace be upon him) like we do to Allah (swt). We don’t exaggerate in praising him. We never raised him to the rank of Almighty God.

Yes, we do pray For Muhammad (peace be upon him), but we don’t pray to him. We ask Allah (swt) to send peace and blessings on Muhammad (peace be upon him) as well as his families like Allah blessed Abraham (peace be upon him). And likewise, we do pray for our parents, families, etc.

See Similarities between Islam and Hinduism lecture by Br.Zakir Naik where he in the starting 20 minutes explained the faith of Muslims.

Here is an online link for it too:

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Agniveer states:

The above claim of Islam to be the only religion from the time memorial could have only been true only if the condition to be a good Muslim would have never changed along the time, but it did. Back then, anyone who worshipped one formless God was a Muslim (Adam, Abraham, Moses, etc), but today, not only a person must worship one formless Allah (interestingly, formless Allah has two hands as per Quran [38:75]), but must also consider prophet Mohammad as the final messenger and must believe in angels, Quran, judgment day, heaven, and hell as well in order to reserve the seat in paradise.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Response:

You are claiming this false assumption because you are ignorant about the basics of Islam.

Insha’allah from your logic only, We will be proving Islam to be the only religion since time immemorial.

We have already given, the basic conditions on which Islam is based and the conditions of faith, believing in which makes a person, a good Muslim.

In none of the conditions of Islam, nor faith, is there specifically mentioned about Prophet Muhammad. Instead, it is in general mentioned to believe in all the Apostles of Allah, which include all the apostles from the time of Adam (peace be upon him) till Muhammad (peace be upon him).

He says that previously the Muslims used to worship the formless God ? And later on it changed?.

And in the brackets he gave the example of (Adam, Abraham, Moses, etc).

So let us look to which God the first human being Worshipped ( Note : in the very same article this guy accepted that Adam was the first human being according to Muslims belief, but he made error that Muslims don’t consider him Prophet).

Let us look at the Proofs of it, and the ignorance of that person who wrote this article.

Surah Al-Baqarah Chapter 2

130       And who turns away from the religion of Ibrahim (Abraham) (i.e. Islamic Monotheism) except him who befools himself? Truly, We chose him in this world and verily, in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous.

131       When his Lord said to him, “Submit (i.e. be a Muslim)!” He said, “I have submitted myself (as a Muslim) to the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinn and all that exists).”

132       And this (submission to Allah, Islam) was enjoined by Ibrahim (Abraham) upon his sons and by Ya’qub (Jacob) (saying), “O my sons! Allah has chosen for you the (true) religion, then die not except in the Faith of Islam (as Muslims – Islamic Monotheism).”

133       Or were you witnesses when death approached Ya’qub (Jacob)? When he said unto his sons, “What will you worship after me?” They said, “We shall worship your Ilah (God – Allah), the Ilah (God) of your fathers, Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma’il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), One Ilah (God), and to Him we submit (in Islam).”

134       That was a nation who has passed away. They shall receive the reward of what they earned and you of what you earn. And you will not be asked of what they used to do.

135       And they say, “Be Jews or Christians, then you will be guided.” Say (to them O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), “Nay, (we follow) only the religion of Ibrahim (Abraham), Hanifa [Islamic Monotheism, i.e. to worship none but Allah (Alone)], and he was not of Al-Mushrikun (those who worshipped others along with Allah – see V.2:105).”

136       Say (O Muslims), “We believe in Allah and that which has been sent down to us and that which has been sent down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma’il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya’qub (Jacob), and to Al-Asbat [the offspring of the twelve sons of Ya’qub (Jacob)], and that which has been given to Musa (Moses) and ‘Îsa (Jesus), and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted (in Islam).”

Here Allah (swt) is clearly explaining that their Creed and Religion was same.

The condition for being a good Muslim remained the same all throughout and never changed at all, Alhamdolillah. These conditions were to affirm one’s faith in Allah (i.e, to worship Him alone without associating any partners with Him) , His angels, His Books, His meeting, His Apostles, and that you believe in Resurrection and that you believe in Qadr (Divine Decree) in all its entirety,

Everyone, from the time of Adam (peace be upon him) who fulfilled these conditions was a Good Muslim.

As far as the Jews are concerning, their faith meant believing in the Tawraat (original Torah) and following the way of Moses (peace be upon him) and believeing in Moses (peace be upon him) as the messenger of Allah and to testify to that fact until Jesus came, after which whoever continued to follow the Torah and the way of Moses, and did not leave this and follow Jesus, was doomed. Whoever denied, Moses (peace be upon him) at that time, are the ones entitled for the Hell fire.

As far as the Christians are concerned, their faith meant believing in the Injeel (original Gospel) and following the laws of Jesus, believeing in him to be the messenger of Allah and testifying to that fact; whoever did this was a believer whose faith was acceptable to Allah, until Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came, after which whoever did not follow Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and leave the way of Jesus and the Injeel that he had been following before, was doomed.

….. And had the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) believed, it would have been better for them; among them are some who have faith, but most of them are Al-Fasiqoon (disobedient to Allah – and rebellious against Allahs Command). (Al-Qur’an 3:110

Verily! Those who believe and those who are Jews and Christians, and Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and do righteous good deeds shall have their reward with their Lord, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve . (Al-Qur’an 2:62)

Surely, those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah, in His Messenger Muhammad SAW and all that was revealed to him from Allah), those who are the Jews and the Sabians and the Christians, – whosoever believed in Allah and the Last Day, and worked righteousness, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. (Al-Qur’an 5:69)

It almost bursts up with fury. Every time a group is cast therein (in the Hell Fire), its keeper will ask: “Did no warner come to you?” They will say: “Yes indeed; a warner did come to us, but we belied him and said: Allah never sent down anything (of revelation), you are only in great error.” (Al-Qur’an 67:8-9)

This proves that those who belied the warners which came to them, they are the ones, who will be thrown into the Fire. Those who believed them, they are the one’s with Faith.

Every group which believed in Allah and the Last Day, which is the appointed Day of Reckoning, and did righteous deeds at the time of their respective prophets and messengers was a believer and a Muslim. But after the coming up of new revelations and Sharee’ah (Law), if they didn’t accept them, then they are eligible for hell.

Similarly after Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was sent to both mankind and the jinn, true belief can only be in accordance with the way of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Whoever follows his way will not fear the future or grieve for what they leave behind.

With the coming up of various Messengers, the Shariah (Islamic Law) kept on changing, not the basic message and the Aqeedah (creed) of all the messengers remained the same.

Regarding Allah having hands, then this is again your ignorance. For more on this Subject see the Refutation of the Article of the same Website Agniveer “Allah Shapeless or Limited”.

The Article is in reply to series of allegations:

1) Refutation Series I: Muslim Women are Dirty Polluting Creatures
2) Refutation Series II:Women are inferior, slave to men
3) Refutation Series III: Muslim women are sex object for men enjoyment

Allegation number 4: Muslim Men can Capture Infidel Women as Sex-slave Booty

Islam watch quoted

Muslim Men can Capture Infidel Women as Sex-slave Booty

The Quran:Sura (4:24) “All married women (are forbidden unto you) save those (captives) whom your right hands possess. “

You can’t have sex with married women, unless they are slaves obtained in war (who you may rape or do whatever you like). A man is permitted to take women as sex slaves outside of marriage.

Sura (4:25) “If any of you have not the means wherewith to wed free believing women, they may wed believing girls from among those whom your right hands possess.”

In Islam the phrase “ Whom your right hand possesses” means – sex slave.

Sura (23:5,6) “…who restrain their carnal desires (except with their wives and slave girls, for these are lawful to them…”

Again, Muslim men were allowed to have sexual relations with their wives and slave girls.:

Sura (33:52) “It is not allowed thee to take (other) women henceforth, nor that thou shouldst change them for other wives even though their beauty pleased thee, save those whom thy right hand possesseth. And Allah is ever Watcher over all things.”

Sura (24:34) “Force not your slave-girls to whoredom (prostitution) if they desire chastity, that you may seek enjoyment of this life. [And here’s the freedom-to-pimp card:] But if anyone forces them, then after such compulsion, Allah is oft-forgiving.”

Sura (70:29-30,35) “And those who guard their chastity, Except with their wives and the (captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (then) they are not to be blamed, … Such will be the honoured ones in the Gardens (of Bliss).”

He said that one of the men fighting had said, ‘The wife of ibn Abi Huqayq began screaming and I repeatedly raised my sword against her. Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said that Abu Bakr as-Siddiq was sending armies to ash-Sham. He went for a walk with Yazid ibn Abi Sufyan who was the commander of one of the battalions. It is claimed that Yazid said to Abu Bakr, “Will you ride or shall I get down?” Abu Bakr said, “I will not ride and you will not get down. I intend these steps of mine to be in the way of Allah.”
Then Abu Bakr advised Yazid, “You will find a people who claim to have totally given themselves to Allah. Leave them to what they claim to have given themselves. You will find a people who have shaved the middle of their heads, strike what they have shaved with the sword.
“I advise you ten things| Do not kill women or children or an aged, infirm person. Do not cut down fruit-bearing trees. Do not destroy an inhabited place. Do not slaughter sheep or camels except for food. Do not burn bees and do not scatter them. Do not steal from the booty, and do not be cowardly.”
Subhan`Allah see how Prophet Peace be upon him forbade to kill women and childeren and how beautiful is the advics of Abu Bakar Ra  ( first caliph of Islam and the closest companion of Prophet peace be upon him), he even said  “Do not cut down fruit-bearing trees. Do not steal from the booty, and do not be cowardly.” and still anti Islamic people use bad and harsh words against these great people?? I ask abul kasem now a days which leader advise like this??
Islam prohibits Rape of Women (slave or free)
Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah:  “Musaykah, a slave-girl of some Ansari, came and said: My master forces me to commit fornication. Thereupon the following verse was revealed: “But force not your maids to prostitution (when they desire chastity). (24:33)”  (Translation of Sunan Abu Dawud, Divorce (Kitab Al-Talaq), Book 12, Number 2304)”
Brother Bassam Zawadi quoted in his article ‘Does Islam Permit Muslim Men to Rape Their Slave Girls?’
In an authentic narration from Sunan Al Bayhaqi, Volume 2, page 363, Hadith no. 18685 we read the following story:
Abu al-Hussain bin al-Fadhl al-Qatan narrated from Abdullah bin Jaffar bin Darestweh from Yaqub bin Sufyan from al-Hassab bin Rabee from Abdullah bin al-Mubarak from Kahmas from Harun bin Al-Asam who said: Umar bin al-Khatab may Allah be pleased with him sent Khalid bin al-Walid in an army, hence Khalid sent Dharar bin al-Auwzwar in a squadron and they invaded a district belonging to the tribe of Bani Asad. They then captured a pretty bride, Dharar liked her hence he asked his companions to grant her to him and they did so. He then had sexual intercourse with her, when he completed his mission he felt guilty, and went to Khalid and told him about what he did. Khalid said: ‘I permit you and made it lawful to you.’ He said: ‘No not until you write a message to Umar’. (Then they sent a message to Umar) and Umar answered that he (Dharar) should be stoned. By the time Umar’s message was delivered, Dharar was dead. (Khalid) said: ‘Allah didn’t want to disgrace Dharar’
Notice that Umar ibn Al Khattab (the second caliph) ordered the man who captured the slave girl and had sex with her to be stoned for this crime, for he took the slave girl unjustly.
Do these critics who raise these arguments know Islam better than Umar ibn al Khattab?
We anticipate what our opponents might say in response. They will say that the scholars whom I just cited and the story of Umar ibn Al Khattab only refer to someone who raped a slave girl who did not belong to him, however one may rape the slave girl that is his property. Even though the story in Sunan Al Bayhaqi makes it clear that the man had sex with the girl after possessing her, we will accept this response only for the sake of argument.
It is nonsense to suggest that one could rape the slave girl he possesses because the Prophet (peace be upon him) warned us that we must take good care of those under our authority:
“There is no person to whom Allaah has given people to take care of, and he fails to take care of them properly, but he will not smell the fragrance of Paradise.” (Saheeh Bukhari no. 6731; Saheeh Muslim, no. 142)
‘Umar ibn al-Ahwas (may Allaah be pleased with him) reported that he heard the Messenger of Allaah SAWS (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say during his Farewell Pilgrimage:
“Verily, you have rights over your women, and your women have rights over you. As for your rights over your women, they are that they should not allow anyone to sit on your beds whom you dislike, or allow anyone into your houses whom you dislike. Verily, their rights over you are that you should treat them well with regard to their clothing and food.” (Reported by al-Tirmidhi, 1163, and Ibn Maajah, 1851).(end quote from the article of Brother Bassam)

let us see what Porphet peace be upon him, Abu Bakar Siddique (1st Caliph) and Umar bin Al Khattab(2nd Caliph) said regarding Women in war.

There is nothing like Sex Slaves in Islam and Rape is not mentioned in any of the ayah in Qur`an and Hadith, while some important points to be considered are:

  • Prophet peace be upon him ordered to free the slave

Narrated Asma: “No doubt the Prophet ordered people to manumit slaves during the solar eclipse. (Translation of Sahih Bukhari, Eclipses, Volume 2, Book 18, Number 163)”

  • If a Muslim beats his slave or slaps him for no reason, then he must set him free:

Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: He who beats a slave without cognizable offence of his or slaps him, then expiation for it is that he should set him free. (Translation of Sahih Muslim, The Book of Oaths (Kitab Al-Aiman), Book 015, Number 4079)”

So, from above hadiths it is clear that author lied when he said who you may rape or do whatever you like)

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.

Dear questioner, thank you very much for having confidence in us and we hope our efforts, which are purely for Allah’s Sake, meet your expectations.

When Islam was reveled to Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), slavery was a worldwide common social phenomenon; it was much older than Islam. Slavery was deeply rooted in every society to the extent that it was impossible to imagine a civilized society without slaves.

In spite of this social fact, Islam was the first religion to recognize slavery as a social illness that needed to be addressed. Since slavery was deeply rooted in the society, Islam did not abolish it at once. Rather, Islam treated slavery in the same manner it treated other social illnesses. Islam followed the same methodology of gradual elimination in dealing with this social disease as it did with other social illnesses, for example: the prohibition of alcohol in three steps.

Concerning having slave women, we would like to let you know that it happens to be a practice necessitated by the condition in which early Muslims found themselves vis-a-vis non-Muslims, as both parties engaged in wars. Slave women ormilk al-yameenare referred to in the Qur’an as“Those whom your right hand possess”or“ma malakat aymanukum”; they are those taken as captives during conquests and subsequently became slaves, or those who were descendants of slaves.

Thus, it was a war custom in the past to take men and women as captives and then turn them into slaves. Islam did not initiate it, rather, it was something in practice long ago before the advent of Islam. And when Islam came, it tried to eradicate this practice, bit by bit. So it first restricted it to the reciprocal practice of war, in the sense that Muslims took war captives just as the enemies did with Muslims.

But as it aimed at putting an end to such issue, Islam laid down rules which would eventually lead to eradicating the practice. So it allowed Muslims to have intercourse with slave women taken as captives of just and legitimate wars. In so doing, the woman would automatically become free if she got pregnant. What’s more, her child would also become free.

Not only that, Islam also ordered a Muslim to treat the slave woman in every respect as if she were his wife. She should be well fed, clothed and given due protection. In the family environment, she had the opportunity to learn about Islam and was free to accept it or reject it. She also had the opportunity to earn her freedom for she could be ransomed.

In the light of the above-mentioned facts, and the nature of the question posed by people, it’s clear that some people misunderstand the wisdom behind the permissibility of having female slaves and think that it is meant to unleash men’s desires and give them more enjoyment. Never! That is not the point! It is, rather, means of freeing slaves; and this is clarified above in the fact that if a master got a female slave pregnant, then he could neither sell her nor give her away as a present. And if he died, she would not be considered part of his property. She’d receive her freedom and her baby would also be free.

But, we have to stress that this case should not be confused with that of female servants or maids, for they are free and not slaves. Therefore, it is forbidden to engage in sexual relations with them except through an Islamic marriage.

Slavery has been abolished by international conventions, and goes in line with aims and objectives of Islam, as it has called for centuries ago.

As for marrying slaves, it is something permissible under two conditions: first, if one is unable to pay the dowry of a free woman. Second, if there is fear of committing adultery if one doesn’t get married. This is clarified by the following verse:“And whose is not able to afford to marry free, believing women, let them marry from the believing maids whom your right hands possess. This is for him among you who feareth to commit sin. But to have patience would be better for you.”(An-Nisaa’: 25)

This verse shows that Muslim men should abstain from illicit relations and seek enjoyment through marriage to free women or through their female slaves.

In conclusion, Allah has forbidden certain types of behavior and permitted other kinds of behavior as a safeguard to the individual and to the society. Allah has forbidden fornication and adultery. However, in the case of captives whom your right hands posses, it’s something necessitated by the special circumstances which were created when the Muslims were at war.
”(end of fatwa)

3 – Being fair towards slaves and treating them kindly

It was narrated that ‘Uthmaan ibn ‘Affaan tweaked the ear of a slave of his when he did something wrong, then he said to him after that: Come and tweak my ear in retaliation. The slave refused but he insisted, so he started to tweak it slightly, and he said to him: Do it strongly, for I cannot bear the punishment on the Day of Resurrection. The slave said: Like that, O my master? The Day that you fear I fear also.

When ‘Abd al-Rahmaan ibn ‘Awf (may Allaah be pleased with him) walked among his slaves, no one could tell him apart from them, because he did not walk ahead of them, and he did not wear anything different from what they wore.

One day ‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab passed by and saw some slaves standing and not eating with their master. He got angry and said to their master: What is wrong with people who are selfish towards their servants? Then he called the servants and they ate with them.

A man entered upon Salmaan (may Allaah be pleased with him) and found him making dough – and he was a governor. He said to him: O Abu ‘Abd-Allaah, what is this? He said: We have sent our servant on an errand and we do not want to give him two jobs at once. (end quote)

Slaves can become leaders.

a) Narrated Anas bin Malik: Allah’s Apostle said, “You should listen to and obey, your ruler even if he was an Ethiopian (black) slave whose head looks like a raisin.” (Bukhari Book #89, Hadith #256)

b) Abu Dharr reported: My friend (the Holy Prophet) bade me to hear and obey (the ruler) even if he is a slave having his feet and arms cut off, and observe prayer at its prescribed time. (And further said): It you find people having observed the prayer, you in fact saved your prayer, otherwise (if you join with them) that would be a Nafl prayer for you.  (Muslim, Book #004, Hadith #1355)

1) Refutation Series I: Muslim Women are Dirty Polluting Creatures

2) Refutation Series II:Women are inferior, slave to men

Allegation number 3: Muslim women are sex objects for men’s enjoyment

The article below clarifies that women in ISLAM are not sex objects neither is anal sex allowed but people to malign Islam quote verses to prove otherwise.

Islamwatch quoted
Muslim women are sex object for men’s enjoyment

From Quran:Sura (2:223) – “Your wives are as a tilth unto you; so approach your tilth when or how ye will.” Wives are to be sexually available to their husbands in all ways at all times. They serve their husbands at his command.

This verse refers to anal sex (see Bukhari 60:51), and was “revealed” when women complained to Muhammad about the practice. The phrase “when and how you will” means that they lost their case.

Response:

The above is a blatant lie anal sex is Haram in Islam. Shaykh Salih Al Munajjid said in his fatwa

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Your wives are a tilth for you, so go to your tilth (Have sexual relations with your wives in any manner as long as it is in the vagina and not in the anus), when or how you will, and send (good deeds, or ask Allaah to bestow upon you pious offspring) for your own selves beforehand. And fear Allaah, and know that you are to meet Him (in the Hereafter), and give good tidings to the believers (O Muhammad).” [al-Baqarah 2:223]

From the word harth (tilth) we understand that what is permissible is only in the vagina (the front passage), especially because this is what will produce children. The semen that is planted in the womb from which offspring come is likened to the seeds which are planted in the ground, from which vegetation comes, as both of them are substances from which something else is produced.

The phrase translated as “when or how you will”;  means, in any manner you wish, from behind or from the front, sitting or with the wife lying on her back or on her side, so long as it is in the place of tilth (i.e., the vagina, the place through where a baby is born).

A verse from a poet says:

The wombs are lands for us to till; we have to plant the seeds and whatever grows is up to Allaah.

  • It was reported from Khuzaymah ibn Thaabit (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah is not too shy to tell you the truth: do not have intercourse with your wives in the anus.” (Narrated by Imaam Ahmad, 5/213; a hasan hadeeth).
  • Ibn ‘Abbaas said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah will not look at a man who has intercourse with his wife in her anus.” (Narrated by Ibn Abi Shaybah, 3/529; narrated and classed as saheeh by al-Tirmidhi, 1165).
  • See Nayl al-Maraam by Siddeeq Hasan Khaan, 1/151-154.

If a man does this, his wife is not considered to be divorced as many people say; because there is no shar’i evidence at all that indicates this. But the scholars say, if a man habitually does this to his wife, she has the right to ask for divorce, because he is an evildoer (faasiq) who is causing harm to her and himself by this action, and also because the purpose of marriage cannot be achieved through this action. The wife has to resist this evil action and remind her husband about Allaah and about the punishment for transgressing the limits set by Allaah. If the husband repents to Allaah from this deed, there is no reason why she should not stay with him, and there is no need to renew the marriage contract. And Allaah is the Source of strength.

From Hadith:Bukhari (62:81) Narrated ‘Uqba:  The Prophet said: “The stipulations most entitled to be abided by are those with which you are given the right to enjoy the (women’s) private parts (i.e. the stipulations of the marriage contract).”

Bukhari 7:62:132 Narrated ‘Abdullah bin Zam’a: The Prophet said, “None of you should flog his wife as he flogs a slave and then have sexual intercourse with her in the last part of the day.”

Response

What problem does the author have with the legal relationship of a wife with her husband or vice versa? It seems that the author of the article is against this legal relationship. By quoting these ahadith , what is he trying to prove? These ahadith, no way, say that women are to be used!

BUT Islam teaches us each and everything regarding the married life and that’s why it is a complete code of life. ALHAMDULILLAH.

Allah (swt) says;
