Allah is more kind to His servants than a woman is to her child

‘Umar ibn al-Khattab (radhiAllaahu ‘anhu) reported that there were brought some prisoners to Allah’s Messenger (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) amongst whom there was also a woman, who was searching (for someone) and when she found a child amongst the prisoners, she took hold of it, pressed it against her chest and provided it suck.

Thereupon Allah’s Messenger (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said: Do you think this woman would ever afford to throw her child in the Fire? We said: By Allah, so far as it lies in her power, she would never throw the child in Fire. ‘

Thereupon Allah’s Messenger (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said:

{{ لَلَّهُ أَرْحَمُ بِعِبَادِهِ مِنْ هَذِهِ بِوَلَدِهَا }}

Allah is more kind to His servants than this woman is to her child.

The Hadeeth of being Knowledgeable of the Worldly Matters, and Ignorant of the Hereafter

Narrated Abu Hurairah (radhiAllaahu ‘anhu), that the Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُبْغِضُ كُلَّ جَعْظَرِيٍّ جَوَّاظٍ سَخَّابٍ بِالْأَسْوَاقِ، جِيفَةٍ بِاللَّيْلِ، حِمَارٍ بِالنَّهَارِ، عَالِمٍ بِأَمْرِ الدُّنْيَا، جَاهِلٍ بِأَمْرِ الْآخِرَةِ»

“Indeed Allaah hates every kind of arrogant person, clamoring and loud in the market places, like a carcass at night (i.e. not making prayers but only sleeping), a donkey during the day (i.e. stupid and without understanding, engaged in work and does not pay attention to [fulfilling] the rights of worship), knowledgeable of the worldly matters, and ignorant of the hereafter.”

Comment of Shaikh al-Albani : Declared Weak in ‘ad-Da’eefah’ no.2304

Comment of Shaikh Shu’aib al-‘Arnaoot : The chain is Saheeh according to the conditions of Muslim.

It is interesting to note that the authentication of this hadeeth is attributed to the Shaykh al-Albani (rahimahullaah), with the claim that he authenticated it in his ‘Silsilah as-Saheehah’.
